@Home - recovering from Sickness

I was in the middle of recovering from Sickness... sexy voice. My dad said i was having too much fun and no enough rest. My mom said i was eating too much and not drinking enough water. Anyway, i think both of my parents are right...

Today, I'm a good boy staying at home sleep for the whole day, drink lots of water. The voice improved but the coughing still killing me... the nose still blocked. Anyway, it's much better than yesterday... So now i need to have a nice sleep tonight and see whether i would be able to go to work tomorrow.

Wanna to know how's the party went over in Malacca on the last day of the year 2011?

Drink... Drunk...Dance... Drugs(hmm... not sure have or not)

BTW, we met this couple from Netherlands and Ireland. They are touring around Southeast Asia and have visited couple of countries before Malaysia. This was their very first countdown outside their country... they were standing beside our table and i strokes the conversation, invited them to countdown together with us. :)

Jan 1st 2012, TZ got sick on Jan 1st and lost his voice on the way back to Kuala Lumpur. What a sad case, TZ gotten sick since the very first day of the year ... :(

Quarter 4 - 2011

Today is the last day of 2011... another 12 hours to go and say goodbye to year 2011 and say hello to year 2012. Before ending the year 2011... let's review Quarter 4

October
Nearly got into an accident on the way back one raining evening. It was a scary moment and luckily i was in control of my car well. Just a bit of stretches under my front part of my car and a scary moment.

November
Penang Bridge run and We Run KL were the last two run of the year. I was pushing myself to get the finisher medal on the Penang Bridge run as it's has the time limit to get the finisher medal.

December
17 days road trip in Thailand was the finale of the year 2011... It was an enjoyable 17 days out from thinking of work... switched my job from a project manager to a photographer for the 17 days. thousands++ photos has been taken. What a switch eh~? Anyway, i haven't posted all the photo to the blog, maybe i should follow what FoongPc has done... blog for a year regarding his trip to Cambodia. Stay tune for photo and i will make sure i won't bore you with all my 17 days thailand trip post eh~

The year 2011 ended with an enjoyable year even though a busy working life, a not so aggressive year for TZ... but I has taken time to spend with my family and friends... overall a very satisfy year for me. I hope i would have more enjoyable year in 2012...

My new project finally gone live and the first batch of customers came in and used the system... It was a hard work for the whole team to get the release completed. Anyway, it also earned me tans of replacement leaves. So now you know why i got to travel so much in a year ;-)

May
My very first run in Putrajaya. It was a relay run as Medie007 signed up for 5 of us including himself. Each of us running 3km and i was not performing well as my route was going uphill :( Anyway, it was an enjoyable run back in May.

My very first trip to Bangkok. The city of Angel... The city was very big... of cause bigger than the city of potholes. BTW, and as what Twilight said everything is CHEAP CHEAP and CHEAP... We have a good time there. I couldn't imagine i was back to the city 6 month later...

July
This month of the year was very dry... nothing much happened and moreover after the vacation in June. The most disappointed moment was having the announcement from my boss ... No travel for the rest of the year :(... Anyway, i was using the month of July to slim down since i gained weight in the beginning of the year. So i tried out a PT session...

August
My dearest Nikon D70 died... death cause : Moldy. Anyway, i gotten another baby Nikon D7000. This was the month which I had so much photographing with my new Nikon D7000. Why? i went to Ho Chih Ming, Vietnam for 10 days. It was a nice trip as i was having the drivers to drive me around. Hehehe... sis's driver. :p

September
Another change happened in this month... Guess what? the change of BOSS. I was reported to the Senior manager instead of the director. This was a not so good feeling as they re-shuffle the organization. Anyway, i survived the change and moving forward.

I gotten a new job and i switched from a local company back to MNC. I felt like i was going back home as i like to work in MNC company then the local one. Not to say local company not good but i enjoyed working in MNC.

Hey I was kind of lazy for the year 2011... I only noticed that i didn't even do a report out on Chinese New Year 2011. Anyway, it's just the same old Chinese New Year... blah blah blah... But every year i got this super huge prawn that my uncle specially gave it to me...

I planned and booked the ticket to Bangkok (June 2011 trip) at the same time i was loaded in my job... more and more projects came under my portfolio... so did i get the day off... Hmmmm... I was working hard and playing hard too. Anyway, it was a dry March 2011 but it's good that i have something to look forward. The First time to Bangkok.

Monday was a very messy day for me... not saying it's the first day of work after my vacation but also an interesting day for me... Why?

Car emo

My car was emo on Monday. Never wanna to get started, even i tried and tried and tried. The car still cannot start. So, i have no choice but went back up to my condo and took out my lappie to continue to work. The moment i wanna to send out the Work From Home message to my team....

Internet connection emo

The internet suddenly gone emo and could not get connected... :( So what next? No car, no internet... how to work? So, i tried to call for help... guess what?

iPhone emo

My iPhone just emo on me... i could not slide open my iPhone to call. No car, no internet and no communication. WTF! So how? I tried and tried and tried... finally i managed to slide and called up my boss, informed him my situation and told him i will work offline reading my mail @ home at the same time tried to contact the mechanic for my car...

Electricity emo

Minutes later, the whole building ran out of electricity... oh god, why was this happen to me. No electricity, No car, No internet and limited communication (cause not all the time i could slide my iPhone)... at the end...

TZ emo

I was sad and emo... but still have to try my best to solve the situation. I went down to the car park again and gave the car a try... finally i was able to get the car started. Hurray! I could head to the office... i quickly took shower and headed to the office.

Every trip will come to the end... I have been on the road trip for 15 days since Dec 2nd 2011. I have covered the whole Northern Part of Thailand and walked through the ancient cities of Thailand from the earliest kingdom until the current kingdom which located in Bangkok. Thousands of pictures were taken and a few of nice video clips too.

Anyway, today is Saturday and we are going to the famous and largest market in Bangkok... So for those who visited Bangkok, you should know which market i'm referring to... >.<

Faulty TRANSCEND SD card ... Reliable?

Last weekend when i was happily filming the Hornbill Feeding... all of the sudden, my camera malfunction and giving me an error indicator on my card deck number 2. This is deck which store the card for video clips.

So guess what card i was using?

Yes! I'm using Transcend and this card was NOT cheap... it costs me RM195 for a 16GB where as the reliable ScanDisk only cost RM160.

Why i purchase this card?

The lady from FotoFlash KLCC who sold me the camera has confidently mentioned Transcend is a reliable SD card brand and a lot of people using it. Since i have no time to shop for my SD card. I decided to give it a try... I bought this card on August few days before my Vietnam trip and guess what on Nov the card just corrupted. Not even three months. This is so called RELIABLE...

So do you think it's reliable? No... No... No....

I wanna to shout out ... "THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT RELIABLE..." Lady in FotoFlash please don't recommend this brand to other camera owner in the future... now i don't know whether all my nice photo are able to recover :(

I went into the Transcend facebook to get some contact for after service... By reading all the wall post, I realized that there were so many complaints and their after service seems like not very good too. Anyway, I will only send my card for repair when i come back from my Thailand trip. I definitely will NOT going to try out any other brand except ScanDisk. I don't want to risk my nice photo in those unreliable SD card.

We Run KL 2011 - Season finale run

November 27th 2011 Sunday - We Run KL 2011 was a successful event. First of all i would like to give a two thumbs up to the organizer for doing a good job. This is the best run i have in term of Safety, Refreshment (water stations), medical assistance and official personnel.

My friend picked me up on 5am in the morning and we headed to Lake Garden for the We Run KL 2011. We were early and have time to cam whore.

The run started on 7am... all the participant starting to run for about 1km and quite a big group of them slow down and started to walk. Anyway why not, the ultimate goal is to get the Nike Tee and have fun in the run / walk ...

Basically you can see the milestone board every kilometres. I saw a lot of people cam whore with every milestone board along the way. I was too lazy to take all the milestone board ... so i saw this interesting board...

Finally it came to 800m, TZ started to run again as many cameras pointed to the running for the last 800m stretch and cheering team from the audiences were there to clap and cheers... So, no matter how tired TZ have to run as if TZ has run the whole 10km... Have to become the celebrity eh~ .... kakakaka....

My very first Penang Bridge Internation Marathon

The Penang Bridge Internation Marathon also known as PBIM is a very popular running event in Penang. The participants were coming from various countries around the world. All most all the participants has to be in the running ground @ midnight.

The full Marathon (42 KM) starts @ 2am
Half Marathon (21KM) starts @ 3am,
10KM starts @ 6am
fun run @ 7am.

My friend and i, we arrived Penang around noon on the day before the run and went over to Queensbay Mall to collect our running kits.

My friend left the hotel @ 10:45pm the night before the run... and i was lucky enough to have more sleep and the hotel shuttle left around 4am. I was waiting for my run @ Starbie Queensbay.

The run started exactly @ 6am for 10KM... initially i wanted to snapshot some nice scenery during the run and on the bridge but due to the time limit to get the finisher medal. I decided to skip the photographing and straight moved forward to the finisher line. Overall it was NOT an easy run compare to the previous marathon that i participated. The ramping up to the bridge has killed my leg muscle until today. I'm still in pain...

Tired. Not in the mood to cam-whore...

Anyway, it was quite a good experience for my very first PBIM... Will i participate again next year... I would say maybe nope but i want to bring my camera to snapshot the nice scenery of Penang Bridge like others did...

I have been eyeing on the Starbucks 2012 planner since they launched it... It cost RM88 to purchase this planner or purchased 15 drinks to get this planner. So which one you choose?

As for me someone gave it to me as the present for this year :p so i neither purchased drinks nor paid RM88 for this planner.

When people mention "Just Do It" ... what would come to your mind? Yup~ It's NIKE.

Nike has sponsored We Run KL on year 2010... this year Nike is doing again. Since NiKE is the main sponsor... of cause the running jersey is NIKE... I ordered size M for myself. I'm very satisfy with the size as it suits me well.

Last Friday, my friend and I went to Midvalley to pick up our running kits. This year the jersey is RED compare to last year it was striking apple GREEN. Which you prefer for those who has the year 2010 jersey?

Loy Krathong ลอยกระทง

November 12th 2011 - My friend bought me to a Thai ancient festival, Loy Krathong which is celebrated in Wat Chetawan, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Loy Krathong has been widely celebrated in Thailand since the ancient Sukhothai era and it's belief to be an offering to the Goddess of Water to bring peace, health and luck.

So what is Loy Krathong?
Loy means "To Float" Krathong refers to the Lotus-shape receptacle which can float on the water. The Krathong contains food, nuts, flowers, joss sticks. candle and coins as the offering to the Goddess of Water, Phra Mae Khongkha.

Upon arrived in the temple.. My friend and I walked around the temple and took a few shots of the temples, visited the main building, pray... then went over to the hall to get ourselves a Krathong, brought it to another hall and stood there for chanting.

After the chanting, all of us proceed to Taman Jaya Lake which is 10 mins walk from Wat Chetawan and offering the Krathong to the Goddess of Water...

From the participated crown... I felt that this festival not only celebrated as an offering to the Water God, it also brings the family and friends together...

Anyway, i hope by offering to the Goddess of Water, I hope it will bring good luck and mercy to the people of Thailand, the water in Bangkok will be subsided soon.

2nd Thailand international Half Marathon

Last night during the dinner, my friend told me the news. He received a mail from the organizer of the 1st Thailand international Half Marathon. The marathon has postponed from Dec 11 2011 to Feb 2012. Oh no, we have bought the air ticket to Bangkok and the ticket was NOT refundable. So we still need to go on with our plan to visit Thailand.

So as the international run got postponed, we are going to re-plan our journey to spend more time outside Bangkok and only spend our last weekend @ Bangkok before we fly off. As for the run, we gotten two options either run on Feb 2012 with 1st Thailand International Half Marathon or pushed the participation to 2nd Thailand international Half Marathon.

At the end, we decided to push it to Dec 9th 2012 - So see you in Bangkok for the 2nd Thailand International Half Marathon eh~

I was walk around the Bintang Walk area with friends last Sunday. Since i was there, my friends recommended me to fix my iPhone screen as the phone is not working. Since my iPhone was in the workshop, we were walking around to kill time at Sungei Wang and BB Plaza.

We have lunch over in Lot 10 as my iPhone could not fixed within the agreeable hour i.e. 2 hours ... We dropped by the famous 十号胡同 Lot 10 Hutong. The moment we walked into the Lot 10, I saw so many blue color box with YES hanging at the center of Lot 10, every corner of the shopping mall was hanging with the YES banner... YES here and YES there... This is definitely NOT a Celcom territory... It's YES territory...

It's has been one year since YES launched. Not sure how good is YES after one year back... Anyone using YES package now or has used the YES package? Can you provide us some update/comment?

All WORK and no play makes Jack a dull boy

I skipped gym for 5 days straight, i was tied up with all the activities that came out last minutes. I tried to finish all my task on time around 4pm but the moment i wanted to pack and leave the office... something came out and my boss assigned them to me. The task was so short lead time that i need to accomplish within hours. So, I have NO choice but staying back to complete them :(

Anyway, i managed to hit the gym yesterday and have a nice workout. I hope the coming week will not gate me to gym...

Please please let me go to gym eh~ I need to train for my Penang Bridge run on Nov 20th 2011.

Last Thursday, it was raining heavily in the evening. By the time i was heading home, there were still drizzling and the road was full of running water. That day, I skipped gym as i was tired and promised my mom to go back for dinner.

Since i was not heading to FF-1MK, I used the non-Toll road which is Jalan Istana. If you have been to Jalan Istana before, you will know how the road looks like... There's a lots of curves in and out. I was happily cruising in the fast lane and didn't notice i was driving quite fast. Suddenly the front car pressing the emergency brake. And immediately i pressed mine. I forgot the road was full of water, as i pressed mine, my car slip out from the fast lane and nearly hit the car besides me. I thought i'm gonna hit the car besides me but luckily i was quick enough to pull back my steering to the other side and I ended up clashing my car into the side of the road.

Car was slightly damage at the bottom, I was in shocked... I was so soooo soooo lucky that i didn't hit any cars... =.="

So folks, do drive slowly during this rainy season eh~

1st Thailand International Half Marathon

Bangkok Bangkok here i come again ... This round i'm going to Bangkok for the 1st Thailand International Half Marathon on Dec 11th 2011. And this also mark my very first Marathon outside Malaysia. TZ's run out of Malaysia. LoL...

Since my friend and I will make a trip to Bangkok for marathon. We decided to spend around 15 days to tour around Bangkok, ChiangMai, ChiangRai, Sukhothai, Ayutthaya and maybe Pattaya depends on our time.

Anyway, i hope the flood will get better and everything is back to normal by the time we are in Bangkok. BTW, we will be able to celebrate the King's birthday with the Thai people on Dec 5th 2011.

Special thank to Medie007 for helping me to sign up for We Run KL 10K. I thought i will end the 2011 running year with the Penang bridge run but at the end i decided to sign up the Nike Run which happen to be one week later than Penang Bridge run.

I was looking at the participant run on 10-10 last year as it had the overlap with the 10-10-10 run.

I was waiting for my parent as they were in the wedding dinner @ the Concorde hotel nearby. I was happily chosen a nice and quiet place for the first 1.5 hours. The music and the air conditioner were just right. The place was quiet...

Then there was this staff's friend came in and sat on the table besides me. He was happily got a drink from the staff (not sure it's free or not but i belief so... ) Anyway, the drink was secondary... the main thing i would like to call out over here was his action. He on his lappie speakers so loud and watch those concert which giving out noise... you know the lappie speakers were not that good... so you could imagine the noise together with the music played in CB... Really turned the place into noise instead of nice and soft music.

It has been irritated me for an hour until i could not stand as he turned up the volume higher and higher... like no body business. I was not happy and kept turning towards him and gave him a stare. He never took any action and pretended he never see me. Then i about to make a complaint i think he sensed it. He turned down the volume a bit...

Anyway, i stopped my intention to compliant and sat there to write this post :p

Team Building @ FRIM

Friday was NOT a working day for my team. One of my team member has organized a mini team building @ Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM).

@9:20 i reached the FRIM and i was the 3rd person there besides my colleagues who was organizing this event and my boss whom don't like to be late. Luckily i was not late... Anyway, we were there waiting for the rest to arrive.

The trip to FRIM was different from my previous visit. This time we hired a ranger to bring us around FRIM... My team member has organized a light and easy hike through the planted forest since 1929. There were lots of different species of trees... The Kapur trees (Dryobalanops Lanceolata) formed the crown of shyness which is a popular spot for the entire hiking trip.

Then we continued walk over to see other species. Guess what? We came across a tree name Jelotung (Dyera Costulata) which its latex is use for...

Ranger : Do you know the latex of this tree is use for making what?
Team: No idea...
Ranger : You know I usually offer Chewing Gum when we reach here but now i don't...
Team : Why?
Ranger : Recently the research found this latex is a good material for high quality Condoms.
Team : High quality Condom?
Ranger : Yes, because of its latex is soft and not so easy to break.
Team : Oh i see...
Ranger : I stop chewing gums now cause every time i chew the gum, I always feel like i chew on high quality Condoms.
Team : Hahahahaa....

After the story of Chewing gum and High Quality Condoms... we move on and the Ranger continued to explain those plants... we have learnt a lot within that two hours hike. It's a very nice hike for a CITY BOY like me. LoL...

I was a quick tour guide on Thursday night after a dinner... my mom's university friend was in town, he came from New York city, USA. He and his wife were here for one night only. Given that i had experience to be a tour guide... errrrr not license tour guide. I was given the task to bring this guest of us to tour Kuala Lumpur in two hours :p

We came over from PJ via Damansara Heights and we went through the Parliament house --> KL Sentral --> National Museum --> Old Train Station --> Nation Mosque --> Merdeka Square (Pic above) --> City Hall --> High Court --> Maybank building --> Puduraya --> Petaling Street / Central Market --> Bintang Walk --> KL popular Bar Area (Beach Club etc) --> Mandarin Oriental.

The whole trip took around 2 hours... My Mom's friends were enjoying this quickie. And i was enjoying too on showing him and his wife :)

I didn't realize my last post was on Sept 24th 2011... Time really flies and i was busy working closely with my new boss. You know 新官上任三把火 (the new boss has three fires)... meaning every new boss will be very aggressive. So do the new boss of mine.

Anyway, let's forget everything about my new boss and what happen to my work place now.... i need to continue my blog and delight my reader eh~

For the past one week, i was following the news about Thailand Flood 2011. The city of Ayutthaya was badly hit by the flood with few meters waters from the overflown river... even the famous heritage sites was flooded with water...

Yup, I'm only running 10km and my another friend is running 21km. Not sure i could run for 10km but definitely i could walk - run - walk - run until the end. I could make it with this strategy for NTV7 fun run... I belief i could do it this round.

This Friday is Arthur's day celebration. Lot's of pubs and bars has put up the Guinness offer i.e. drink Guinness get T-shirts / shirts free... So, one of the bar @ Sunway Giza has posted an Ad on the offer... the offer has started on Sept 18th and ends on Sept 22nd 2011. So go and get your T-shirt and Shirts eh~

Anyway, one of my friend has written in his status on asking around who wanna to go to the Arthur's Day celebration @ Speed City, Kuala Lumpur. As i'm curious and google this celebration and all i got is this poster...

Anyway, in a small print @ the center of the poster (if you can see), i realized this event is by exclusive invitation only. Hmmm... i wondered my friend might have gotten more than one exclusive invitation and he's asking around to have some companion to go for the celebration. Taiping International Marathon 2011

September 13th 2011 : TZ is heading to Taiping for Taiping International Marathon 2011. This is his 2nd marathon run. He will be running 10km this round. 3 km more than the NTV7 feel good run and 7KM more than Ekiden.

TZ still remember his first official run i.e. Ekiden Run 2011 @ Putrajaya. This was a relay run and he ran together with 4 of his friends. On July 2011, he participated on the NTV7 feel good run.

Now, TZ is preparing and counting down the days on the run @ Taiping...

Anyway, you might not be able to imagine how messy is the traffic in HCMC. You have to go to HCMC to experience how messy is their traffic. Anyway, since i have bought myself a new Nikon D7000. I managed to take a clip and share with all of you.

I was in a hurry to office yesterday morning to catch my morning tele-conferencing (a.k.a meeting). The journey from my house to office usually takes me around 45 mins without jam.

Guess what? when i was on the fast lane @ MEX highway, there was this slow driver with a signal and immediately came into my lane and moving like 50KM/hr in the fastest lane. As i was hurry, i flashed the driver but no action taken. The driver continued to drive 50km/hr. So as a result, i switched to the middle lane. Guess what? the driver put a signal an into my lane again with the slow speed. Sigh~ The slow driver was back to the middle lane and in front of me :( Why he wanted to switch back to middle lane? hehehe.. this was due to there was a car going very close to his car. Forcing him out from the fast lane. He has no choice but to left the fast lane.

I was frustrated and tried to force the car to go into the slowest lane but unfortunately he still taking his own sweet time to drive on the middle lane. Hey dude, don't 阻着个地球转 eh~

Okay now what is the meaning of 阻着个地球转? This cantonese saying means that please do not prevent the earth to rotate. Indirectly asking people NOT to block the way.

Back from Country "V"

I just got back from country "V" on Monday. I have so much work to catch up on Tuesday. Basically i spent the whole day to get everything in place and was reading my mail from work for the past 10 days. Near to a thousand mails.

I'm quite popular when I was walking along the street of Saigon. Seems like those cyclo kept trying to strike conversation with me... There was even one of them talking with me in Japanese. You know I'm not Japanese. How am I know what was him talking about. So I ended up telling I'm not Japanese. Then he kept asking me where am I from? My answer was malaysian. Then he replied "oh Malaysia..." Blah blah until it was so hard to get rid of him. Sorry not that I'm not friendly but I really don't wanna to waste you time. I prefer to walk.

Receptionist: It's full too.

I wondered it's because of too many customers or the total of taxi got reduced as some of them already Balik Kampung (returning to hometown). So i have no choice to ask my friend to send me to KL Sentral. Hopefully i could check in and leave the baggage @ KL Sentral. Then they will send over to KLIA :p

I once owned a baby and his name is Baby Nikon D70 or i should say i still owned him but his dying... Last Wednesday, I sent my Baby Nikon D70 together with his Nikkor 18-200mm lens to the hospital after i found out his infected with Viral / Fangus :(

Guess what? Two days later i received a call from the hospital and the doctors told me that they need around RM3500 to have a surgery on my Baby Nikon D70 in order to cure him. RM3500 to cure him, so I have no choice but make a decision to put him to sleep... What a sad day?

Baby Nikon D70 and I have travelled together to many countries since year 2004... you know what? After i listed all the countries we have been... he actually been nearly half of the globe with me. He has been to US, Africa, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Dubai and many more countries, islands and resorts. He has been a good travel companion whenever i need to snap snap and shots shots...

But do you notice we also have chimney @ the kitchen, chimney @ the living room. These chimney will release smoke that harm the environment... So around the world, governments and organization have look into how to GO GREEN in this area too... another Carbon footprint reduction.

Now, let's talk about Smokers whom are surrounding us. If you look into more detail, they are as good as a small factory that pollute the air every day... some even every few hours or few minutes... So Malacca government has introduced the smoke free zone.

Crappy day 81111 - Update

Crappy #1: I got bugged early morning to show him how to fill up the form for change control board. I have taught him twice in the past on the process. Moreover, this person is having higher pay than me and one rank higher than me. Come on are you taking advantage of me? or trying to annoy and intimate me until i said "let me do it"... Okay why I'm so pissed... This is because I only need to spend one hour to complete the whole process if i do it myself. Now, i need to spend almost daily to hand hold him to complete the form. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME. Please...

Crappy #2: I got my mid year review, yet to have the discussion. I think i spent too much time to do charity to other people whom i'm not being appreciated by what i have done. Now, I actually expected to do what i suppose to do for the past 6 months. What a sad case :( So TZ from tomorrow onwards.... no more charity... Do whatever you need to do... Reject Reject Reject... REJECT to those out of scope tasks / Jobs.

Crappy #3: I was thinking whether this job is actually suitable for me... This thought is still bordering me from time to time... Do I like this job or not? Do i learn something new from this job? The more i think the "Boh Siong" (not feeling great) I'm. So i think i better just stop thinking and move on... focus on what i wanted or what i can learn from this job then .... Again, I felt i underpaid for my experience... Sigh~ Sigh~ Sigh~

Crappy #4: No matter how much i worked out in gym.. I still could not lose the fat around my waist. Abs seems like so shy and hid under those fat... I thought of it... maybe i ate too much or too much of crappy food. It's time to switch my diet to a more healthier.

So after dinner last night. I went over to Village Grocery with my friend to buy some nuts for my snacks...

Me: Hey Sushi is having 50%, let's grab a box or two...

Friend: I'm okay... but... *I don't care of what FAT is ... so I just grab two boxes*

Then I walk towards the counter and my friend voice out...

Friend: Hey, don't forget to get your nuts.

Me: Oh... *we walk over to the nuts section*

Friend: Look at the price, eating healthy is so expensive.

Me: What to do? Want nice abs...

Friend: Then poor people can not have nice abs

Me: Errr.... *i kept quiet cause i'm rich neither*

Hungry Ghost Month

It's the 7th month in the Chinese Calendar now... Since young whenever we reached this month, I always have the eery kind of feeling. Why? It's the Hungry Ghost Month. You could see almost every Chinese Communities will setup some kind of temporary stage to have some presentation at the same time gather all the food and paper made items to pray to the hungry ghost.

I still remember my first time visit to the place that they have this gathering to pray for the Hungry Ghost. They have Chinese Opera and there were two rows of chairs in the front without anyone sitting on it. So i was curious and asked my mom why don't we go in front and sit... it's better view there. My mom told me, it's not for people to sit... it's for ghost.

Since that day onwards, the moment i saw the row of chairs in front which are empty. I straightaway think of the Hungry Ghost seats... Hmm... Is the first row seats in the cinema also reserved for you know what i meant eh~

Okay, i think i better hit the bed now... the more i write the eery feeling that i have... Ciao

Two weeks ago, I have a drinking session with my project team. We were enjoying ourselves with the nice drinks @ Bistro 32 Puchong. The environment is very nice. Since one of my colleague is a regular there. We gotten ourselves a nice corner with a certain level of privacy...

The first thing we did was to order drinks. My team lead whom are from India was not able to decide her drinks. So we were asking her what she wanted... She still could not make up her mind but mentioning she would try anything. Then, I happily started to recommend her some nice ice tea...

Let's begin the story... I was working out with Twilight and he took this picture of me from the back while i was doing the abs workout with TRX. There are no indicator of me but almost everyone guess it's me... BTW, I really salute William that he could see my bandana that i was wearing. So, what is the color of the bandana?

Yesterday morning was a wet wet morning... It was a challenge to wake up in such a cooling morning. Moreover it's Friday. Anyhow, i have no choice but to wake up early and hit the office for my last day of training.

When i walked out from my room, the first thing i did was to look out the KL city from my balcony...

July 24th 2011 SUNDAY: A run in Centro Klang early this morning. The run covers a couple of categories and various of distance. The two popular distance are 12km and 6km. My friend was running and i wanted to just follow the crowd to run but at the end i decided to stay in the breaking news cafe.

On having the PT session

What is PT session? Personal Torturing session? or Personal Training session?

I was given a free trial on the PT session recommended by Twilight Man. The moment has come on Friday night. I have all the preparation to undergoing the PT moment except....

Friend: you are going to be tortured tonight
Me: Huh? Don't think so...
Friend: You will know how i felt while being tortured.
Me: Are you sure? Is that so bad?
Friend: Later you will know...

The ~~torturing~~ training started on 8pm sharp...

Squat jump on TRX - 15 reps 3 sets interchangeable with 1 mins on Vipr side way squart. The first and 2nd sets were okay for me but when came to the 3rd sets i was a bit struggling cause i couldn't feel my leg anymore.
Lunges with a twist (holding the ball) for 2 sets. This is not tough but again it hit my legs. i finished all the sets with any struggling. Hey i'm strong eh~
Pulling yourself up with TRX and interchangeable with the rowing machine. This exercise actually hit my back and i could feel it after the 20 reps of TRX pulling myself up. Followed by the rowing which need to finish 500m within 3 mins. But guess what? I finish in 2mins 20sec :p I felt tired after the two sets of workout. But still okay.
Push up on Bosu with hand holding two edge of the Bosu for 15 reps, followed by 15 reps legs on the Bosu and another 21 reps on two Bosu, the hand and the legs for 15 reps. Last but not least, one leg up so i only using 2 hands and a leg to support my body for the last 6 reps (each leg three reps). I completed all the exercise without missed. But i was way way struggling on getting oxygen after this exercise. Suddenly i felt my sugar level was low...
Abs exercises are not very difficult. plank pose on the Bosu for 1 mins followed by the plank pose on the Bosu with moving leg side to side for 1 mins. Last exercise of the day is the side plank pose with a twist for 10 reps.
Stretching time... this is the moment i enjoy most. A hard workout ended with a nice stretch :)

It was super tired after the training as i was not fully prepared as i forgot to take something slightly heavier before the workout. So i have come across low sugar after exercise #4. The PT passed me a glass of COKE to rejuvenate.

Anyway, the workout is superb and i'm considering whether should i go ahead of signing up for 30 ~~torturing session~~ training sessions. Or i should give myself sometime to try to build my 6 packs myself.

The 三点三 originated from Hong Kong as the Hong Kong People take their afternoon tea break @ 3:15pm. I have been in the training since Monday and we have our tea break @ 3:15pm everyday too for 10 mins. It's not enough time to get some food from the cafeteria downstair.

One of my colleague said she wanna to get the Jagung (sweet corn) from the cafeteria.

Free PT session

I was walking into the gym yesterday night. Bump into Twilight Man and his Personal Trainer (PT). So his PT was asking when i would like to sign up for PT session... "hmmm....errrrr.... " said me.

Then all of sudden, the PT offered me a free trial session. He quickly drag me over to the PT counter and pull his scheduler out and try to fit me into his session.

PT: How about Wednesday 8pm?
Me: I could not make it, i have a meeting.
PT: How about Thursday 7pm?
Me: I have training this two weeks and the training ended on 6pm. Might not be able to reach 1MK on time for training.
Me: How about next Monday?
PT: Monday too late... what about Friday?
Me: Friday i'm okay, how about 8pm?
PT: Okay see you @ 8pm.

So, now i gotten a free trial PT session but of cause no obligation... Now, i'm thinking if i decided to sign up for PT session, I just don't know what is my target... request him to train me to have a 8 packs abs? and to have a nice arm? and nice back and chest? and ....

Anyway, I had PT few years back if you read my post about my PT sessions. Now really not sure whether should i get a PT?

Galactic Laser Tag @ Mid Valley - Team building

The company that i worked with has allocated quarterly team building budget. The first team building of this year we went Archery, then we went Paint Ball for the previous team building. So this round we went Laser Tag...

Last Friday was our teambuilding days. Few days before the Friday, i sent out a mail to all the counterpart around the world to inform on our offsite teambuilding. On Friday itself, we gathered @ Mid Valley just in front of Galactic Laser Tag @ Mid Valley.

We went up to the report counter straight after everyone was at gathering place. The process from reporting to playing the game took us about an hour. After the briefing, we were asked to choose a vest with the named on top. So I choose the vest with the name "VIKING"

Anyway, we have signed up for playing two games. It was fun and we are running inside a gloomy and dark room with just a bit of lights... With the lights on the vest and the gun... it's not difficult to spot your target.

The mission for the first game is to kill each other i.e. individual... just to give ourselves familiarize with the environment. Then followed by the 2nd mission which we are group into team. At the end of each mission, there is a score in the billboard...

Unfortunately i was assigned in Yellow Team... our team has the lowest score among the 4 teams and the fewer members among team too. Anyway, it's just for fun...

A date with Harry Potter

hurray~ i got the invitation to the latest and hottest movie in town for this month. The Harry Potter final episode. There are another friend of mine were invited too... :p Anyway, my friends and I have sitting in the Starbie coach sipping coffee and reading some books while waiting for the show to start on 6:35pm.

The first scene of the movie for Part 2 was the last scene of Part 1... so how many of you still remember the last scene of Part 1?

Anyway, the story continues....

I think i would not describe too much and blog about the story line. This is because there are so many of you out there haven't watch this movie yet... I don't want to be the spoiler :p If you wanna to know the whole story, please buy a ticket and watch the movie.

On watching Magical Musical Show @ Amphitheater Sunway Lagoon

Two more days to go... this musical show will be ended. My sister has given two ticket to my mom and I to watch the musical show.

the RM100 per ticket has been upgraded to RM200 per ticket

We gotten the Yellow Zone ticket which is RM100 per pax but due to low audiences / turn out rate, we were upgrade from Zone Yellow to Zone Blue i.e. RM200 per pax.

My mom and I, we reached the Sunway Lagoon entrance @ about 6:30pm and we waited for the crew's direction to allow us to go into the lagoon. about 15 mins later, we were directed to board the tram and it carried us over to the amphitheater.

We walk passed this the entrance and got a nice seat on the blue zone. The seats that we had was very nice and it's quiet in the center of the amphitheater.

LOSE IT!

This class was introduced recently in Fitness First and guess what? i have started to hit this class since the LOSE IT program claimed whoever took up the program will be able to lose weight. Is this effective... hmmm so far i haven't see the result yet as i only attended two classes. Yesterday evening was my 2nd class. So what is LOSE IT!

Are you convince to join the class now? I have marked my calendar to join this class every Thursday @ Fitness First 1Mont Kiara. BTW, I'm yet to attend Dave's conducted class on LOSE IT!. I bet it will be even more fun if he is teaching.

Annoying Uncle's scream

I'm not sure why some people like to spoil the nice and enjoyable environment...

I was attending the Joe Lim's RPM class yesterday evening @ the Curve. There was this uncle who was screaming from track #1 to track #7. As the RPM class progress... and the track was getting harder. The scream was louder. So what he screams? He basically screaming "ah ah ah ... come on... yay~ yay~ Yes ... " hmmm... Is this sound like someone is having sex and scream for more? It's definitely annoying. Especially you were enjoying the music while working out in RPM.

Guess What? The uncle didn't put on the expected resistant in all the tracks. The track #7 which is mountain climb. Therefore the resistance must be high and you need double the strength to work on Track #7. The uncle was shouting and screaming for more with his signature scream... Yes! Yes! yay! ...

Since he was screaming like having sex, so not sure whether he has organism after track #7 and cum in his pant. There is definitely none of my business, but I would say his scream was so soooooo soooo ANNOYING.

By the way, anyone in the class you attended, his/ her screaming for attention was so annoy? If you have met this scenario before please do share with us eh~

Salted Swimming Pool

I was @ the drinking station sipping the 100+ ... Suddenly i overheard the conversation about the pool which i think it's so funny

Member A: hey after the steps class, it's nice to go for a swim.

Member B: I went weeks before and tasted the water in the pool. It's so salty.

Member A: Eeee... that's why i don't want to go, those members after workout must have just jumped into the pool without taking any shower.

Member B : Agreed i saw a couple of them, they are so unhygienic. No wonder the water tasted so salty.

I was laughing loud inside the moment i heard their conversation. How many peoples' sweat to make the pool water become salty... the two members obviously have no brain. Moreover, they didn't know that the pool in Fitness First Empire Gallery is actually the sea salt water which is good for skin.

So i told this story to one of my friend who always swim in the pool...

Me: You know what? there were two members saying that members in the gym always jump into the pool without showering after their workout. Therefore the sweat has made the water become salty.

Friend: *Laughing out loud* must as well saying that members lazy to go to toilet to pee... and they just pee in the pool. Hence the pool is salty now.

Me: *Laughing*...

Anyway, please take note, the pool in FF Empire is a SEA SALT WATER POOL.

Anyway, when i was passing by Starbie @ Central Point BU... I was so tempted to grab a drink from Starbie. But the competition has its own rules that i needed to abide. So i forgo my Starbie and continued to walk / run...

When i came across the board marked the final 2KM with the tag line "Don't Give Up!" Since when i gave up, i was just conserving my energy for the final 2KM run... TZ started to run again... Run TZ Run,

Finally i was @ the finish line and heard lots of people clapping and cheering for the runners when they arrived to the finish point... So i successfully completed my very first 7KM run... Since my stomach has already calling for food. immediately we headed over to Paparich inside One U for our breakfast.

You are grounded!

Parents usually told the children "you are grounded" whenever the children done a very bad things or something wrong.

Today JULY 9th 2011. our lovely government told his citizen " You are grounded" so what exactly we as this lovely country citizen has done wrong? The nation just want to voice their concern and wanna to request some improvement on certain "in justice" system. But at the end, all of us got grounded. So, no more Malaysia Sales Carnival shopping in Bintang walk. No more drinking and chatting with friends in Pavilion... etc. No more gym @ Fitness First.

BTW, freedom of speech, freedom to voice, freedom to ask, freedom to.... etc has packed into a trash bag and sent to a far far land. Please don't ask me where eh~ cause i'm not in the position to answer you. Ask our lovely PM.

Anyway, we as the KL people are grounded at home. So can we pronounce KL in curfew state? People from outside this lovely country what do you think?
