ReplyDeleteThat's just the body price I think. It will be tied to some telco provider, like the old iPhone tied with AT&T. Therefore there will be charges for the telco package and everything. Have to commit for at least a year - and most likely gotta pay upfront? Of course, bring the phone here to Malaysian soil will have to unlock it.. but need to get hold of the unit in the first place rite?

ReplyDeleteThe release will be July 11, 2008. With AT&T again. You will have to purchase the phone in person (no oneline purchases) and it must be activated at the store/kiosk with an AT&T associate. If I'm not mistaken the phone plans will be more than the current iphone voice/data plans. ($10 more I believe... per month)

I recently purchased the iphone 3g from the US and too be very honest, it's not that impressive as i expected it to be. There are several draw backs that you need to consider. This is a general note to future buyers:
ReplyDelete1. Bleutooth dont work for anything. Yes even with another iphone...
2. Text messaging works but needs getting used. There will be many occasions where you'll be spelling your own name wrongly.
3. For a so called smartphone, there should be a copy and paste function. None here.
4. Camera is nothing to shout about...I think it's 2mb
5. Speaker sucks big time...I think the most dissapointing part about this phone is the speaker. Not the best of trades when you intergrate an ipod into the phone.
6. Phone Hangs when complicated functions are being executed (wifi, etc)
The good part of this phone is that it uses the MAC OS. Safari works much better then the normal windows Internet browsers. Interface (GUI) is simply awsome in other words just like a MAC.
Another plus about this phone is that it allows you to specificly configure the phone to your liking.

ReplyDeleteHahaha i wish i could meet Jobs...Brilliant individual...I wouldnt say the same about the phone though....:) It was however ranked as the best gadget for the year 2008...It's just one of that gadgets that you just have to have i guess....Cheers Guys....Love to hear other phone owners comments regading the phone to see if we can share BKM's (Best Known Methods).
