How outsider thinks about Malaysia Election?

My colleague, Monika from US just came for 2 weeks business trip + 1 week vacation. She has the chance to read some newspapers (The Star etc) and watching TV about our 2008 Election. She noticed straightaway that only BN party advertisement were shown in the newspapers and TV... she wondered where are all others parties. Mr. Prime Minister of Malaysia, would appreciate if you could answer my colleague question... ;-) This is so obvious that the foreign also could feel and realize the difference. So, we as the Malaysian should vote wisely eh!...

Yesterday, as we travelled to Malacca for a day trip. We had nearly 1 hours+ conversation during the driving to our destination. She was so curious and started to ask me regarding why there were no Opposition Party (DAP, Keadilan and PAS) commented and advertised their campaign on the TV and newpapers. Is there because the oppositions have no sufficient fund to do that? I had answer the question as the media was controlled by the BN government. Then her reaction to me via another question which was about Malaysia as the democratic country, why the media is controlled. So, BN government, please defined what is democratic to the world... don't just used the standard definition to entertain our friends outside the country and execute the democratic differently within the country. With all this matter. do you think the election campaign democratic? Is the election campaign a fair game?

I would like to call upon all thinkers like me to think about this questions... :-p I was a little shameful and uncomfortable when i answered my colleague. She as a tourist or foreigner also could feel and observe the unfair situation on this election campaign... so why we as the voters can't realized or we just tried to ignore?

Does this sound very familiar on your day to day life?

"You can write an email to me, cc my boss, HR department, Finance department & Estate department and the CEO"
"Yes! everything must be in black and white..."

Especially, you need to get something important done which involved and impacted another department. What will be your peers reaction? and what is your reaction?

This is a clip that i like it after watching it... This clip has been sent by my colleage to all group of us for some enlightenment... I hope you would get enlight from watching this clip... :->

Is this happening in your workplace? What will be your peer reaction and what will be yours reaction too?

Photo Session @ Kek Lok Si Temple...

Thanks to Monika's visit on the past two weeks. I have the opportunity to show her around Penang and one of the spots that we had visited is Kek Lok Si Temple.

Monika and I reached Kek Lok Si at about 5pm. I made a wise decision to drove all the way up to the Kek Lok Si carpark which has saved us on walking down the dark alley... Anyway, i also don't like to walk through the stuffy and narrow walk way from the bottom to Kek Lok Si. So decided to pay for RM2 for the carpark.

We wondered around the temple and finish all the temple building except the one which newly build on hill side. It was still construct so decided not to pay a visit.

Got Jailed on last Tuesday

I was jailed last Wednesday after paying RM59.45... got released :->

hehehe... just joking. Guess what? I visited a restaurant called Obake-Ya @ Leith Street, Penang. The whole restaurant was decorated like as if you got caught and sent to the jail... :-> Actually this concept has been very long in Taiwan.

Front of the restaurant (Obake-Ya)

Menu for food / drinks

Bottles of Japanese Rice Wine

Steel bar / someone was behind the bar

Handsome Bartender - Not making any alcohol drinks :-(

Sushi Bar

We hanged around there for about 1 hours plus, the food was so so and expensive. The theme has attracted us to pay a visit. But i would only go once...

KEEP REINVENTING

Since day 1 i arrived in Penang, this question has been in my mind for about a week now. I'm curious about the tagline that the GERAKAN (Barison National) party placed on the street pole everywhere in Penang. So the slogan that place are the two simple word "Keep Reinventing".

Everytime i drove by and saw this tagline... i was so tempted to just stopped by the street and asked the Penangnite @ the road side see whether they understand what it is meant? Maybe i was aware of something publicity has been done upfront for the Penangnite... or i was so dumbed that do not understand this two words "Keep Reinventing" :-p My question is what do you want to "reinvent"?

Anyway, i was talking with couple of Penangnites and their response were they also don't know what the party wanna to reinvent... Anyone could help out this? Help us to understand what the party wanna to "Keep Reinventing" for Penang future?

By the way, how could we as the voter vote without understand what the representative will be going to do for us... "Keep Reinventing" What this means? I'm confused....
