Day 2 : A very tired and fruitful day

I was roaming around the cultural village from 10am-5:15pm... managed to catch the show @ 11:30pm... visited all the houses in the village. Interesting enough i learnt at least seven different ethic culture in Sarawak...

1. Orang- Ulu
2. Bidayuh
3. Penan
4. Malanau
5. Iban
6. Melayu
7. Chinese

There were people in each house that explained to us on the culture and their day to day life. So almost everyone thought that i came from Singapore when i visited the house.... do i look like Singaporean... errrr..... I just had my bandana on with my usual wear singlet and bermuda + boots. TZ the Singaporean went up and down to and from the house... hahaha.... i'll post the picture later eh! ...

We reached our guest house after 1.5 hours of horse riding ... no offense to Sarawakian... I felt that i was riding a horse cause the bumpy road with me sitting at the back of the van... my butt was jumping up and down... ;p

At the lodge, while we were chatting with Uncle Louise in the common area on where to get a good seafood and some other interesting place to visit, we met Chris, the Canadian Born Chinese who is having a post in the Kuching hospital for a month on his study. Later Chris joined us for dinner on what Uncle Louise was recommending... It was a seafood paradise on top of the carpark.... Wow!!! never knew if Uncle Louise not recommended this place... During the dinner, Chris and I have lots of catchup on Canada... hope we didn't bore Jonzz.

So for tomorrow, 3 of us will be leaving for Semanggok - visit our friends Richard... in the morning. Later, in the afternoon we will be going to Satuk Market ... a very special market that sell food, fruits which we will not get in the supermarket... :)

Hello from Meow Meow City

We landed @ Meow Meow International Airport about 13:30... Came out and reached the guest house that we stay @ about 14:00... The guest house that we stayed was nicely decorated with friendly servicing staff... :)

So what TZ had for his lunch... hehehe... Kuching Fried Kuey Teow. Nice or not... errrrrrr ... no comment!

After our lunched, we decided to do some light shopping for all our necessities ... settle of all the items that we needed. We dropped all the items back to the hotel and started our photographing journey.

Guess what? We walked through quite a number of places
1. The China Town
2. Old Court House
3. Indian Street Mall
4. Walk along the riverside
5. Steamship place
6. Sarawak Plaza

Flash Flood in KL again... Where is our Smart Tunnel?

I was so disappointed and shocked to realize that the massive traffic jam this evening was caused by a flash flood in downtown KL reported by Malaysian Insider dated March 03 2009...

Picture from The News Strait Time

I was stuck in the traffic for about 2.5 hours after attending MSC Malaysia Pre-Seed Fund Programme @ MSC cybernet hall, Plaza Sentral. Bahija and I stranded in the traffic from KL Sentral until Jalan Ipoh... The car only moved inch by inch... hehehe.... walking even faster than driving ... So, we were wondered what had happened to KL city... ??????? .... Well, after checking with all our friends and we found out that there were a severe flash flood in downtown... Sigh! Sigh! Sigh!

So, Where is our world well known Smart Tunnel which famous for its duel usage ... flood and traffic... Today marked another big questions mark from all the residence of Kuala Lumpur... how useful is our lovely 1.887 billion "Smart Tunnel"... The residences of KL had suffered for at least 2 hours jam from their work place back to their home after a 3 hours of heavy rain... Is the Smart Tunnel put on usage to flow the excess water out from KL downtown... errrrrr... I doubt so :p

On Visiting Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL)

My running nose got worst on Saturday night ... I was sneezing away.... tear flew out from my eyes non-stop... I hardly could sleep... *Sob Sob* it has been days, i thought the Panadol soluable could help me to recover as soon as possible... I felt better every morning after i woke up but felt worst before the day ends...

I woke up @ about 9am yesterday morning, took a nice steamy shower, got myself change and headed out to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.... It's about 15 mins drive from my place. I parked my car and headed to the outpatient session, filled the form and paid RM1.00 to register myself ... the nurse passed me a card with room number ... So i dropped my registration card on the tray in front of the room... There was a male nurse helping to check the blood pressure and temperature before seeing the doctor...

Male Nurse: (calling my name)
Me: Good morning
Male Nurse: Good morning. (he move my sleeve and place the blood pressure things on my right arm) What happen to you?
Me: I have a running nose, an extreme coughing non-stop with greenish pharmy and itchy throat.
Male Nurse: When is this happen?
Me: Last Monday
Male Nurse: (give me a weird look) Oh it has been a week. Er.....
Me: I was using Panadol Soluable but the cough and running nose came and gone...
Male Nurse: Do you have a fever?
Me: I don't think i have a fever.
Male Nurse: (write 37C @ the temperature column, didn't even measure my temperature)
Me: (Giving him a surprise look)
Male Nurse: (Give me a smile) You have a sit, the doctor will attend to you shortly.
Me: Thank you.

I walked over to the bench and sat patiently, listened to my iPod waiting for my turn to see the doctor. After 10 mins, the nurse called my name again and it's my turn to see the doctor. The doctor was a young lady... she's very friendly and she's asking lots of detail questions.... then she listened to my breathing etc .... Finally, she gave me a list of medicine... oh before that she was asking me whether i had any ellergy to any kind of medicine.

Left the doctor room and headed to the medicine dispensary to get the medicine... I waited about 10 mins to get my medicine... Walked back to the carpark and left HKL...

Guess how much i had spent for seeing the doctor including the medicine, parking? Anyone wanna to have a guess?
