Two Universities in a row...

Last Tuesday, I paid a visit to MultiMedia University (MMU) near Cyberjaya attending the Technology talk. This tech talk is regarding the Multi-core Parallelism, the next generation of how the software coding could be optimized and run faster than current. To all the IT technical project manager + developers / architect, take note for your coming software product. Will blog about this later.

Today, I went to Lim Kok Weng university (LkWU) for lunch with my colleague. This was my first time visit to this University although i passes by every morning on my way to work. The University from far looks very creative... but wait till you see how fashionable the student... you definitely will not be too surprise. The student over in LKWU are so creative and fashionable. Of course this is an art based university if you would like to argue with me... anyway, it is worth to pay a visit.

I had one wing's beef burger with egg and 1 wings durian smoothies. It tasted good... :-) We sat there for nearly an hour after our meal. Of course chit chat and checking out fashionable girls and guys... :-p Back to office @ about 2pm...

Perfect Stranger

Crime could happen and plan with the right location at the right time without anyone notice. I never expect that the real murderer is Rowena... This is really a surprise after Miles review the crime scene planning in the last 20 mins before the movie ends. As expected, Miles is the next victim as Rowena for sure will kill him to keep his mouth shut. This is so scary if it is a real case. Anyway, the story is quite interesting but not up to my expectation on this Bruce Willis movie. Usually Bruce's movies are mix of actual and thriller/crime investigation. But this is more storyline and a little bit dry.

I managed to ask Darrenzeger out to have a movie with me today. Pre-booked the seat for Perfect Stranger @ Cineleisure The Curve. I picked up Musa @ his place and we went to the Curve @ about 12pm. Got the ticket from the box office and headed for our lunch. We had our lunch @ TGIF. Guess what we ordered?

After the meal, we have a walk in the curve to kill some time before the movie. We managed to get in the cinema on time. Grabbed a large pop corn and plain water, we were ready to enjoy our movie :-p Hey you know what? darrenzeger nearly felt asleep... fortunately not otherwise we would have additional soud effect :-p


Anyway, after the movie we dropped by Starbuck to have a quick sipped of coffee / fruit punch and headed to MJ for more shopping. Darrenzeger was looking for a pair of jeans but at the end he bought couple of clothing instead. This is also happen to me... usually i will lose focus and bought something else :-p Anyway, we had a great day today. :-) I dropped Darrenzeger off to the place that he was going to have dinner with his friends and called it a day. I had a short nap during watch TV back in couch @ my condo. This is what happen to me if i'm tire ...

I bought a Holister polo shirt three weeks ago. I never notice something different until yesterday morning I retrieving this shirt from my closet. I notice that the washing label (WL) is very uniquely designed.

I left office at about 1650 and picked Sbanboy up @ 1730. We headed to Subang Parade for our dinner. Since we reached there early, so we decided to walk into MPH for some reading before the dinner.

As usual, i picked up my favor magazine and guess what? August issue is the 4th anniversary of the Men Health Magazine. The cover looks different from other issues. Anyway, pick up and read the magazine. Came across a short statement and picture about chin up exercise...

If you can't yet do one chinup, you're missing out on the most effective way to build upper-body muscle.

Back to the dinner, finally we felt hungry and went to take our dinner @ Uncle Lim... Hurray! managed to taste uncle lim's porridge... i just munching my snack 20 mins ago as i was so hungry... :-p

Free Fries anyone?

Went out lunch on last Friday with my friends Matt and a bunch of my colleagues. Destination: KFC. Our company gave away KFC vouchers for drawer goodies as recognition. Two of my colleagues have searched through their drawer and found out that their vouchers have expired. So Matt, the "Ang Moh" friend of mine shown that he has confident to negotiate with the KFC crew to accept the expired vouchers :-) Which we would like to look at how powerful is him on negotiation.

We arrived KFC and lined up... Matt was the last person in the line... I finished buying my meal then we observed... Guess what? without any effort / negotiation... the lady in the counter just smile and accept the expired voucher... oh! come on... hopefully not because he is cute and handsome that the lady just fall for him to accept the expired voucher? We have nothing to proof... maybe i should have got another voucher and tried it... Maybe she might also give it to me as i'm also handsome mah! :-p

Anyway, his mission accomplish with free meal... so we wanna to test him out again with another items and looked at whether the lady @ the counter was really falling into him... that's some scratch and you get something on your next visit card that we got it... so all of us scratched and there was an item in the card stated that free fries with purchase more than RM30... we have two cards and it could only scratched on one of the box. If you scratched all of the boxes, the card consider void. So, we purposely scratched all the boxes to find out what was inside other boxes and the light bulb come to our mind. We asked Matt to claimed two fries using the void cards... (after all the talking with the counters' servers)

Guess what? Matt came back with the two fries, another mission accomplished... I could not belief that the way KFC doing business ... maybe this is how Malaysian treat the foreign or this is how Malaysian lady treat a cute and handsome caucasion... (ladies, no discrimination eh!). So the whole table had free fries to enjoy while trying to understand how Matt get the two fries... Finally, we suggested to have Matt to get the phone number of the lay... This is a tough one huh? but i don't think so .... anyway, one of my colleague did not agree and we abondoned the project (haha!) and enjoyed out fries...

It was a good experience on observing how the reaction of the KFC counters' server and how KFC doing their business. And how Malaysian treats the caucasion...

Something on the lighter side ...

I saw a car with a funny tag hanging behind its windshield. Guess what? The tag with the statement like this "Don't Honk, the driver is trying to sleep" So guess what i do after i read the tag? I make a loud "Honk!"... this is to ensure that the driver in front of me is awake... Wakie Wakie :-p

Yesterday, i was listening to my favor station REDFM hosted by Alvin. He is a funny guy as per say... he raised a statement which is quite funny... "If your father is poor, you are fated. If your father-in-law is poor, you are stupidity" LOL,

Fun, Relax and Adventurous journey to Penang

I left for Penang at about 3pm.... picked up my colleague from Burger King @ Desa Sri Hartamas... then we hit the road. It was pouring rain and i got myself wet after standing out from the car to say hello to my colleague's boyfriend.

Yes! I'm traveling with a pretty lady (my colleague) yesterday. It was a fun and relax journey despite of the pouring rain. I drove a lot slower than my usual speed, just to make sure that we were safe and alerted in case of any emergency during the heavy rain. It was not a fun driving under the heavy rain condition... All Malaysian, you should get what i meant... unfortunately for those whom stay in the desert (i.e. Arizona)... i hope you could imagine... if you couldn't imagine... Make a trip down to Malaysia. I will bring you to experience driving in heavy rain... hehehe... :-p

Anyway, we chat about lots of things during the 4 hours drive. From office to personal, back to politic/government and both of our future (not together lah... she is talking about future with her boyfriend, and me...) too. I never shared so much with any of my colleague... hopefully she will not use this to go against me in the future... anyway, i trusted her that she will not do it. When talked about my ex-gf... I was a little hesistate to mention who is my ex-gf... as you know my ex-gf was working in the same company as me... but she had left the company few months ago. This colleague of mine do not know my ex-gf. Anyway, it was a past event for about a year, me and my ex-gf broke out last July... just celebrate 1 year anniversary to be bachelor... Yuppie! :-p

Ok! Let's stop blogging about my ex-gf. It's dinner time and we ended up stopping at SOHO, a nice restaurant @ Auto-city. I had steak and my favor drink - Long Island Tea... :-> Then, we continue chatting and way passed our initial plan time to hang around there. It was quite a nice evening with a person that I could talk on and on with so many different topic... Hey! Is there any indication that i need a gf? If she is not attached, i don't mind giving it a try... :-p

I sent her back to her Condo and i checked into the nice hotel @ gurney drive. Took a nice hot shower, check some mail and hit the bed.

New stuff for myself

I walked around Midvalley after staying in Starbucks for hours. I like to explore new technology. As i walked over to the 3rd floor, I saw an Apple authorize store MACHINE... yuppie! i would be able to see new product from Apple (I'm an Apple Fans). They are promoting the Apple TV and it has lots of cool feature but unfortunately i'm not impress with their storage. They could only store up to 40GB... which is quite small. Anyway, this is the 1st version of Apple TV. The 2nd version come with 160GB but not in Malaysia yet. Check it out in MACHINE @ MidValley. I'm looking forward to the iPHONE... how about you? Are you into Apple product too?

It was a lucky day for me as i finally found the car accessary that i have been looking around in Malaysia. Yea! I would be able to drive to Penang this afternoon with non-stop music that i like... I just uploaded 20 new songs to my iPOD last night.
Pick up my Mom from her friends place and headed to my aunt's place for dinner. After the dinner, we went to IKANO. Guess what? I shopped again and bought myself a pair of nice and comfortable CROCS ... cool eh! I always wanted to have a chnage as I never like slipper since young. So normally i will wear shoes to go out with my friends. When i tried on this pair of CROCS yesterday, I had decided to buy it because it was so comfortable... :-p
Anyway, i also bought another singlet for my gym session, it is a tight one which could show off a little *my face turn red - embarrass* Anyway, my PT keeps encouraging me to try and wear some tight singlet... so i kind of trying out ... hehehe... after all, i have been working out for quite sometime and it's for me to show off *wink* :-p

Guess where is this place?

I'm leaving for a business trip to this place on this coming Sunday for a week. The schedule will be tight as we need to review all 141 software application in 5 days. BTW, my mission is to build the network and learn the 141 software applications. You must be thinking I'm crazy or just boasting... Anyway, this is a fact, the company that i worked for normally will raise and stress the bar to a more higher expectation. So we will try to achieve it :-> (My dear ex-colleague, this sound familiar eh!)

I'm not that excited to go to this place as i have been before. This place is so expensive and not much shopping i could do compare to US. I still prefer to go to US... my jeans is getting losen and losen as i lost weight... Boss, when to send me to US for business trip. I need a replenish of my clothing from US this year ... heheheh...

Give it a guess... there will be some token that i would give away for the 1st person to guess where am i going this coming Sunday and the whole of next week (refer to the picture).

Party @ KL happening place...

I just woke up half an hour ago. I had a great nite yesterday party until 2am. It has been a while i was busy with my work and spent the rest of my time in the gym.

I went to KL most happening place i.e. Jalan Sultan Ismail, near KLCC. The place was full of people. I don't think i need to mention about the traffic... you could imagine yourself. The later the more crowded it was and the worst the traffic was too. I wanna to go out for drinks and was asking my gym buddy, Musa out to hang around the place for a couple of beer with me. We arrived that area about 10 something, parked @ Concorde hotel as our initial plan is to visit the Hard Rock Cafe. At the end, we decided to explore the bar near the hotel.

We walked around and looking for a bar which we could hang around. We came across an interesting designed bar and decided to spend some time in Aloha. So we went into the bar and lots of people already in the building enjoying the music and their drinks. It was jammed packed until we hardly could stand.

Aloha has three floors, the top floor is for VIP patrons, ground floor is pack of people like us which is not VIP... :-p Anyway, the bar was designed quite well and the music was ranging from 80s - 90s which i believe it targeted those whom are 35s and above. There is another floor which resides in the basement. This floor is full of college kids as lots of latest music being played... so you could imagine the college kids were there dancing like nobody business... We stopped by and decided not going to dance because it was even pack then the ground floor. :-> and went back up...

It was a enjoyable nite and we called it a day about 1 something... by the time i reached home it was about 2am... hehehe ... took shower and hit the bed :->

At the end, you must choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. (Can i change the last statement which i would not wanna to continue with 6 people. hehehe...)

1. Morning shower is necessary for me. If i do not take the morning shower, i will be very moody the rest of the day.
2. The watches and clocks that belongs to me are 20 mins faster than yours. Don't ask me why, i felt more confident and comfortable to be 20mins faster than everyone. I'm not Kia-Su (worry to loss).
3. I could sleep as few as 4 hours but i could not sleep more than 8 hours. I would feel sleepy if i slept more than 8 hours or less than 4 hours.
4. Beware of TZ whenever he is hungry. A hungry man is an angry/aggressive man.
5. I like to buy shoes. So far i have lots of Nike gym shoes and couples pairs of boots. I like to wear boots... why? Looks cool ... LoL.
6. No internet no life... Do you feel how important internet for me?
7. City is more suitable for me after my vacation in Sabah. Jungle is only for vacation. Once a while is okay... not able to stay too long. Don't put me wrong, I'm still against cutting down forest and turn the land to Plantation (palm oil). Let's protect our forest :->
8. I drive a car but i don't wash my car. Still, my car is clean. hehehe... Guess how?
9. I will craving for the food, see and smell in my mind. Next step: grab the food. Fortunately, I'm not craving for KFC rite now :-p
10. TZ - The walking KL and Penang map. Whenever, my friends/collagues wanna to go to a place in KL downtown, they will come to me. Recently, walking map has covered Phoenix / Chandler Arizona USA... LOL.
