Flower in the meal @ Eat Thai

There was a flora festival when i visited Bangkok early last month (November). My friend bought us to the high end food court at the lower ground of Embassy Central. This food court, EAT THAI has been advertised in many magazine and travel shows which famous for having all the Thai crusine from various part of Thailand. Basically, you can find every single Thai food in this food court from street food until traditional restaurant food...

It happened that when we were there, they have the Flora festival and we gotten the chance to taste the flower in the meal. Yes~ they placed some flower in the meal, one of the Thai delicacy since olden days.

We ordered spring rolls with flowers... Yup, It's various type of flowers... Taste? Taste like flower... Smell nice and sweet.

Halloween night 4 @ Universal Studio is back!!!...

Have you been to the Halloween night @ Universal Studio?... If you haven't been, i would recommend you to do it at least once.

I went for the Halloween night 3 @ Universal Studio last year... I think i didn't blog about my encounter. But it's a very impressive horror night @ Universal Studio. Anyway, it was very scary and the environment setup as if it is real. The sound, the smell, the lighting and the decoration. Not to mention, the people that put on make up, walked around you and all of the sudden, they were besides you... Muhahaha~SCARE?!!!

Unfortunately, this year i don't have any available weekend in October to go down to Singapore. All my weekends are filled with something that i need to accomplish. My routine, my mama routine, my MBA classes, my MBA exams, my weekend getaway but not Singapore, blah blah blah... So no time for Halloween Night #4 @ Universal Studio in 2014 but i'm going to plan for 2015. See you next year eh~

Anyway, let's watch the complete walk through about this year Halloween Night #4...

Excited to go?
Scare to go?

High chance to ditch my Hong Kong trip

My friends and I have planned the Hong Kong trip for months and I'm looking forward to go to Hong Kong. I never been to Hong Kong other than Hong Kong International Airport which i have been there many times. If everything runs perfectly, this trip would be after my exam for this semester i.e. Oct 21st - Oct 26th 2014.

The "Potong Stem" news came about yesterday evening during my dinner with my friend. I was a bit upset as i have given an heads up to the MBA course coordinator to ask him to ensure we do not have any exam during the Deepavali period. As a result the an unofficial schedule drop on the Oct 22nd 2014. Sad eh~

It's not that i have to celebrate Deepavali like my Indian classmate, guess what? i was the only one who concern the exam schedule... So my Indian Classmate actually kept quiet when i raised my concern, one of them even challenge me as if I'm celebrating Deepavali... I told her, i'm not but i would like to plan a getaway from the city of potholes to the Pearl of the Oriental. (City of Potholes vs Pearl of the Oriental - which is your choice?)

Now, my plan has to put on hold until the final schedule is out... The air ticket to Hong Kong is going to be more and more expensive as the departure date is getting closer... and i might have to make a call on TO GO or NOT TO GO... What would be the decision?

Two countries in 9 Days - Day 1 : Touch down @ Ho Chi Minh City

Jan 29th 2014 - Left city of pothole and heading to HCMC, Vietnam. The journey took me 1 hours 10 mins. Rushing through the days, pick up a taxi and headed to KLIA. Broad the Malaysia Airline, the true Malaysian Hospitality... Anyway, that would be another story eh~

Touched down at 6pm, cleared the custom and met my bro-in-law after 30 mins. Still faster than KLIA in term of baggage handling.

Left the baggage at my sister place and headed to dinner nearby. Dinner @ Papa's Vietnam, an Italian Restaurant.

Italian Food - Papa's Vietnam
Authentic Italian food from the Italian chef... Yummy~
After the meal, we proceed with to the New Year's decoration near Crescent Mall District 7. The florist decoration was so nice...

Lunar New Year flower and light decoration

So many different species of flower including the paddy fields... So it's an eye opener for me to see how pretty is the man made garden on the road. (they closed the road and put up the garden). more;

Back to my sister place after the visit... Day 1 end. ~

2013, an interesting year for TZ... Lots of traveling around with almost every single weeks in the months... Now everyone can fly so do TZ muhahaha... Europe, Asia, people surrounding him has tagged him the regular traveller. KLIA, TZ 2nd home!!! Oops~

2013, a year that TZ was so lazy to blog... how many blog posted in this year? 90 posts including this one. Oops *OMG* face. 90 posts out of 365 posts in one year. Just did not find any motivation to post in 2013.

2013, TZ met a numbers of new friends which will be friends moving forward not those just hi and bye friend or for Yamcha type. Anyway, social circle still maintain in year 2013.

2013, TZ has registered so many running events outside the country especially the neighboring country of Singapore. Achieved the first 10km run without stopping i.e. no walking throughout 10km. :)

2013, a roller coaster year for TZ in working life and life outside work... So, it's exciting year or what?

2013, a year which TZ has achieved another certification and known as CPRE holder (Certified Professional Requirement Engineering) a.k.a business analyst. Still maintain ONE YEAR ONE CERTIFICATION

Now... few more hours to go before the clock hits 12am and we celebrate the beginning of year 2014

2014, TZ wanna to work hard to pursue MBA (Married But Available) oops it's Master of Business Administration.

2014, Continue to enjoy the traveling life since people has tagged TZ as regular traveller. Travel planning has just kicked started... stay tune eh~

2014, 6 packs abs... can?

2014, TZ has signed up more running including the Singapore Zoo run and the Asia run for your life. Many more to come...

2014, Work life was still not very clear as the organization is going to restructure but TZ might have a good opportunity. Let's see!!

2014, Need to better juggle the time to spend more time with parent instead.

2014, TZ need to focus more on financial planning as everything is NAIK(goes up). Sad eh~

2014, TZ need to stay blogging again... Readers are you ready for some new 2014 posts?

That's all folks... See you next year :)

Hungry Ghost Month

You will kind of know when the Hungry Ghost Month (HGM) approaching...
1) The horror movies in the national TV
2) Lots of people sicks
3) Live concert by the roadside with the first and second rows of chair empty
4) Prayer booth setup by the roadside and within the temple

When i was a little kid, i usually very scare of Hungry Ghost Month. Maybe thanks to those ghost movies and commercial that reflected the scary part of the HGM and those people whom pray to those hungry ghost on the street...

14th days of the HGM was the most happening day according to the old people. There were the day that lots of hungry ghost wondering around the street... So usually my mom will ask me to come back home as early as possible. But I think that's the practice for most of the people as the street is empty on that day.

I found this clip regarding on how the Malaysian Chinese pray during the HGM...

Ballet Under The Stars (Giselle) - Singapore 2013

Yesterday, I received a whatsapp from my friend in Singapore when i was doing my preparation for conferencing at night.

In the afternoon,

Friend A: It's ballet under the stars on July 27th - featuring "Giselle" - you wanna come?

After few minutes, Friend B whatsapp me...
Friend B: Are you coming to SG in July? Friend A wanna watch Giselle - Ballet under the stars
Me: Okay. Then I will go to Singapore every month :p
Friend B: No Problem.

So i reply back to Friend A that i'm okay for the ballet under the stars
Me : Okay
Friend A: Yay!!! I go book tickets.

At night,  40 mins before the conference.

My Birthday on Lunar Calendar...

I was born on the eight day of Chinese New Year... And for Hokkien, the eight day is a very important day. Yesterday was the 8th day of CNY. I woke up as early as 8am... And lazying on the bed until 9 something...

Since sister wanted to eat Bah Kut Teh (BKT). We decided to pay a visit to my cousin place in Shah Alam. My nephew brought us to the BKT @ bukit Raja Klang area. Near the i-city area.

The Kitchen - like a manufacturing
The Food
The BKT is nice but the service is extremely lousy... bad management, the staff doesn't even smile and very rude to their customers. So i would not recommend this place although the food is nice. BTW, the restaurant name is Teluk Pulai Bak Kut Teh...

After the BKT, we went to NSK a huge hypermarket (this will be another post - stay tune). Mom just bought a couple of vegetables and we left the place.

I gotta have another eating session at night after sending my parent to a Wedding Anniversary function @ Jaya 33. My sister, Bro-in-law and I met up my aunty for dinner. We pop over to the NEW PARIS. I bet whoever stay in klang valley should know this restaurant...

The Crowded Restaurant
So what we ate?

Lou Sang - Huat ar :p

Year Year Got Fish
This year we didn't celebrate the 8th days night event... So we picked up my parent from Jaya 33 and headed back home and sleep. That's my Lunar Calendar Birthday :)

Chinese New Year 2013

Third day of CNY, I woke up and realized that time passes so fast. Today will be the last day of CNY celebration in Penang. This year the Penang CNY celebration is a bit different from the past. Penangite has the opportunities enjoy the famous Gangnam Style thanks to our lovely govt using the tax payer money (if the source is true). Anyway, that's not the highlights for TZ... Coz TZ didn't even bother to go to see PSY nor the lovely PM.

TZ's CNY 2013 has nothing but the same old routine...

FOOD FOOD FOOD and plenty of FOOD
food overload for the past few days since the CNY eve dinner until yesterday nite. We were having course meal and it was at least 8 dishes per course. But anyway, my favorite food still homemade food from my aunties and my cousin's baked muffins...

Fresh from the oven

CATCH UP a.k.a Gossiping...
What was the gossiping topic? Hmmm...

QUESTION QUESTION and plenty of QUESTIONS
hehehe... this year is a bit less compare to last year. Maybe i slowly faded from the focus point. Hurray~

SLEEP SLEEP and plenty of SLEEP..
After lunch, napping before dinner.

GAMBLING...
Guess what? I won RM45 just 1/2 hours. Initially i won RM65 but i lose RM20 on two rounds. So in total i just won RM45. It's a good deal already :p

Last but not least catch up with cousins ...

Dragon fly away, Snake sneak out...

Today is the last day of Dragon year... as my animal zodiac, this year was NOT a very good year. Just a normal year which i still have my job, enough money to survive, i bought couples of TOTO but only strike RM4 in Malacca once. Still have people who loves me. Hmmmm.... other than that it's a very quiet and non excited year.

Since the Dragon going to fly away and the snake is sneaking out... I hope the coming year will be better for me. I went to TIMES two three weekend back to read the projection of the Zodiac Animal for Year of Snake from Lillian Too. Anyone a fans of her?

Then i went into the internet to read some of the other prediction... All of them have the common said.
1. It's good time for me to switch job. So what job should i take?
2. I have luck on wealth for this year. Hmmm... so i should buy more TOTO, 4D and 6D too.
3. I'll enjoy traveling around for this year... not sure what it's mean but i'm looking forward for my vacation

Errrr... what else? ...

Anyway, do you believe on these kind of prediction?

Rainforest World Music Festival 2012 (RWMF)

I have been talking about going to the Rainforest World Music Festival since decade ago...  Very sad to say i haven't visited the RWMF yet. Last year, i told my Sarawakian friend that i wanna to plan to visit the RWMF this year. Emm.... Nothing happen as i kind of forgot the event until recently i saw this poster.

Picture adapted from RWMF.net
Surprisingly no radio station talking about this event and not much people promoting about it. So, now it's too late for me to get the flight ticket, hotel accommodation and the entrance ticket to the RWMF 2012. I bet there still have the package but it should be costing a bomb... Maybe i should plan in ahead for RWMF 2013 then... Anyone can offer me a stay in Kuching?

BTW, anyone going for RWMF 2012?

Yesterday, when i pay a visit to 1Mont Kiara, they are having the Earth Day awareness weekend. Lots of small little booth exhibit on the earth friendly merchandize and also educate the visitor on how important we save our earth.

Over the internet, there is plenty of plan to celebrate and make the Earth Day to educate our next generation on how important to save environment, use those earth friendly merchandize etc...

@Home - recovering from Sickness

I was in the middle of recovering from Sickness... sexy voice. My dad said i was having too much fun and no enough rest. My mom said i was eating too much and not drinking enough water. Anyway, i think both of my parents are right...

Today, I'm a good boy staying at home sleep for the whole day, drink lots of water. The voice improved but the coughing still killing me... the nose still blocked. Anyway, it's much better than yesterday... So now i need to have a nice sleep tonight and see whether i would be able to go to work tomorrow.

Wanna to know how's the party went over in Malacca on the last day of the year 2011?

Drink... Drunk...Dance... Drugs(hmm... not sure have or not)
BTW, we met this couple from Netherlands and Ireland. They are touring around Southeast Asia and have visited couple of countries before Malaysia. This was their very first countdown outside their country... they were standing beside our table and i strokes the conversation, invited them to countdown together with us. :)

Happy New Year 2012
It's a very happening countdown in the historical city of Malacca... Where would be our next year 2013 countdown place?... Any suggestion.
