Celebrating Malaysia Day @ Hornbill State

huhuhu... I'm leaving city of pothole again for celebrating Malaysia Day. Another 24 hours i will be on my way to the city of Meow Meow... Guess?

This is 1960s Meow Meow City (TZ made it looks like 1960s. Nice?)... Let's roll the clock forward...

I was there on March 2009 and it was an enjoyable trip as i went with a friend of mine who likes photographing. And we met a couples of new friends at the backpacker inns. We spent 6 days in total at Kuching. Okay don't ask me why i spent 6 days in total. >.<

Anyway, this trip was a short one as i will be following a friend of mine back to his hometown and stayed in his house together with a Singaporean friend of us for a weekend. So, I'm not sure whether what my friend has arranged for us but i got to know there is one Sarawak Cruise in the itinerary... i'm bringing my Nikon D7000 for more shots. huhuhu...

Anyway, stayed tune for the report out of my weekend escape out of City of Potholes. Hello City of Meow Meow...

Mekong Delta : Rice Paper Making

August 2011, I took a 10 days trip to Vietnam largest city i.e. Ho Chih Ming City (HCMC). The whole trip was a free and easy... with half day walking tour of HCMC daily and spent the rest of the day sitting in the cafe and enjoy the coffee and its environment...

Anyway, I managed to sign myself up with a full day trip to the Mekong Delta, the important delta in Vietnam that produces most of its agricultural product. 

BTW, do you like the vietnamese spring rolls? This is how they make the rice paper for spring rolls...

I was glad to see how they made the rice paper, before the trip i don't even have any idea what ingredient made up the rice paper, I only tasted the Vietnamese Spring Rolls which is one of my favorite. Now we know eh~ 

2010 Flashback : October - December

Nothing much to write about for this last quarter of the year... It's just a normal day to day life.

October

Climate change has given us so much pain and disaster around the world. I think we should have started to learn how to save the environment. On this month, I got invited to an opening of a very meaningful exhibition called Facing the Climate which the world famous cartoonist gathered and exhibited their work regarding climate change. The purpose of this exhibition is to trigger the awareness of how important for us to save the environment.

November
Short breakaway from my hectic work and followed my friends to Penang for the Penang Bridge Run. I didn't run as i was too tired after a whole weeks of working late. But i had an enjoyable trip thought. Before that weekend, i decided to make a big change which i will blog about it next year. Stay tune for the change eh~

December
Anyway, the highlight of this quarter yet to come... it's about starting to countdown to year 2011... how many hours to go... Hmmm... Do look at the side banner...  ------>

2010 Flashback: July - September

July

What's hot in July... Of course not to forget to mention the World Cup. I seldom watched football but on the month of July, I went for football watching with my boss and colleagues in one of the pub nearby my office.
BTW, what new's for me? I was officially a user of iPhone 3gs... Last but not least, the highlight of the month was I participated the international photographing event i.e. Scott Kelby International Photo Walk in Malacca. The picture was taken during the walk... nice?

August

Stressful month for me. The project that i handled was so challenging with lots of issues. Time was not enough and moreover required to work long hours and weekends. Luckily i managed to get a short break to Eagle Ranch, Port Dickson with three of my friends to release some of the stress. Nice weekend getaway :)

September
Nothing much happening in this month... mainly focus and get myself tight up with work, work and work. The hectic work schedule has eaten into my gym time which forced me to switch my gym hour to early morning before heading to office.

First night out with my colleagues... A fun night and get to know my colleagues better during these social night out. Besides the fun of the night out... This month I had a chance to getaway from my busy work and city to a nice and quiet beach in the east coast. Where i went? Kijal Awana... not a very clean beach but better than West coast :)

"Salaam" A word the Iranian use when they greet people and friends. My company sent me for business trip in Iran for about 3 weeks. The Iranian culture gave me a shock... Anyway, it's a nice experience which i might not be able to get that again.

9 Days to go ... A new year... A new hope... So let's Flashback on year 2010.

January

Started working again after a long enjoyable study leaves. I started to go back to the corporate world on Jan 4th 2010. Work in this current company was not as smooth as the baby skin... In fact, it's like roller coaster. Anyway, i managed to ride on the roller coaster and move on... My birthday is on the month of January. So i celebrated my birthday in Tony Roma's with my parent and TGIF with my friends.

Chinese New Years... A month with so many great food and mingling errrrr... in fact gossiping :p This year i drove alone to Penang for CNY. Why? My parent was celebrating the new year in Vietnam with my sister. I couldn't go as i just started my work and have no leaves :(

5 Elements of my life turned 3 years old... still a baby but it's a great milestone that i still continue with blogging even though i was have a long hours working time. One very sad things was the Kasubi Tombs in Uganda Africa got burnt down... It was a nice heritage site which i visited when i was in Uganda Africa.

New Year Eve Countdown

Another New Year Eve (NYE) Countdown is on its way... I was glad that i got invited to NYE Twenty Ten countdown @ KLCC this year... My friend has organized this event and he has booked the venue for all of us to countdown together....

My last NYE countdown @ the street was in year of 2005. Yup~ It was 4 years back... My ex-colleague from US was here on business trip. So we were having our countdown @ The Curve. I still remembered clearly, we were stuck in the carpark of The Curve for at least half and hour and ended up decided to wait @ Starbucks until 2:30am... After 4 years, this will be the year that i countdown on the street again... :p Hopefully there will not be a massive jam and stuck in KLCC carpark until 5am :p

Anyway, let's do a flashback to the NYE countdown 2009... because of avoiding those massive jam @ KL downtown or PJ... I decided not to join any group of my friends for countdown last year... so I ended up setting my camera on my balcony. I managed to shoot the fireworks @ KL city... I know one blogger wanna to stand @ my balcony and enjoy the scenery of KL this year... lalalalala :p

Hmmm... i just wondered what i did one year ago? i bet those people who following my blog will definitely know what i did last year today... kakaka...

I bet most of you sure say i was online in Starbie... oooopssss am i really like starbie that much :p BTW, I'm in Starbie now sipping my Ice Cafe Latte as i'm in Ikano after dinner with my uncle, aunt, cousin and mom. This is what we did after our Saturday dinner, we will hang out @ Ikano... Mom, uncle, aunt and cousin will be in Popular bookstore doing their reading as i accompanied by Macbook in my usual hangout place Starbie.

My ShitHole year...

What is ShitHole? ShitHole = University life. I just don't know twinkie nowadays stated University life as ShitHole... Then what should we address the working life ... SepticTank ... huhahahahahaaaaa..... :p The ShitHole leads to SepticTank... blek!

Since it's the convocation season now... I saw lots of post and Facebook regarding convocation... I would like to roll back some of my lovely shitHole life. I had an enjoyable ShitHole life back in Canada... Yup! the coldest country in the world. Lotz of snows and i was enjoying myself with the winter there. In fact, the winter was my favorite season among the four... :)

You must be thinking when was my university life... errrrrr..... I have graduated about one decade ago. Back then i don't have digital camera, all my pictures was taken with my film camera and it's a compact consumer camera... hehehe... 

To show to all of you, I have retaken some of my pictures with my D70 and using iPhoto to enhance the resolution... so here you go the piccie of TZ @ ShitHole ... 

Time really flies... i have been in SepticTank for about a decade now... Currently i'm out from SepticTank temporary ... so where am I ? I also don't know...

I'm sick and tired of MJ's song in the radio... this morning i was shocked to heard that Micheal Jackson (MJ) , the king of pop, has passed away. Since then... the famous radio station such as Fly FM. Hitz FM, Red FM ... all these radio station were playing MJ's song... here come on ... why everyone just wanna to play the same song over and over and over and over again...

Beat It ! Beat It ! Beat It .... then i switch from Fly FM to Hitz FM ... Beat it! Beat It etc ... i switched again to Red FM ... Billy Jean Billy Jean ... sigh~ sigh~...

Guess what? At the end i switched to one FM... i.e. the chinese channel while driving to my class this morning ... same thing happened @ nite ... when i drove back from the gym... MJ's song were playing in couples of radio stations... I just don't know why everyone just so value MJ after he's dead... hmmmm.... Anyway, MJ rest in peace eh!

Flashback : Chinese New Year @ the year of Rat (2008)

Less than 24 hours, we will be saying good bye to the year of Rat... See you Rat Rat in 11 years eh! ... As SK mentioned, "The gym rat says goodbye to the year of rat.. next year will workout in the gym like a cow instead.. :p" I have a good gym workout session yesterday evening... i pushed myself extremely hard so that i could rest for three days without any gym... hehehe :p Anyway, with the cow year we need to workout like a cow ... kakaka .... Should we call ourself a gym cow in Cow Year ... hahahahahaaaaa... :p

So before we left the year of Rat, let's flashback to the Chinese New Year on the year of the rat... How TZ celebrated with his parents, siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins, nephew, nieces etc...

Was MacGyver your idol?

I just finished watching the series MacGyver which shown in TV2 @ 12am every Thursday.

Few Decade ago...

When i was still studying in primary school, I was a fan of MacGyver. I was so amazed with his knowledges and actions to overcome all his challenges. I was so eager to become like him.. Knowledgable, smart and not scare to take up different challenges... I have been placing him as my idol until the series stopped its production... I never missed a single episode even if i had an exam. My mom had recorded the series for me to watch after my exam... Thanks mom~

Now....

When I watched back those old series in TV2... I just laughing at myself as i treated MacGyver an my idol which was not even exist in this world. Just a character in the series produced by the Hollywood... hahaha... TZ was so naive to have MacGyver his hero... :p Just curious, anyone know someone that have the knowledge, workable ideas and look as MacGyver... Can you introduce him to me? I would like to know him :)

Anyway, hehehe... anyone was sharing the same idol as me when you were a kids?

flashback 2008 : December

An eventful month... there was ups and downs ... the ups were i met lots of new friends but the downs were that i could not get the project started and still stuck in KL... Sigh!

Anyway, let's don't talk about the downs in this festive season. The Xmas was @ this month... I was enjoying the holiday / festive season with meeting lots of new friends. The year ended with a enjoyable moment which i got invited to Bahija's Xmas dinner as one of my wish to Santa... Thanks Santa.

BTW, I also would like to thanks Twilight for giving me the nice Snowman.. hehehe I just wondered what Twilight going to draw for me on New Year as what he mentioned ... A lion?... muhahaha... Anyway, thanks Twilight... I would learn their language and culture so that i could wear like what you have drawn in the Snowman.

The year of 2008 is going to end in few hours ... I was enjoying every moment and i decided not to go to anywhere for any countdown. Just sitting quietly @ my balcony to view the splendid fireworks later... As of right now, I'm in Jaya-One to have my simple yet cheaper new years eve dinner i.e. Wendy's Burger.

Flashback 2008 : November

I was back to KL again on November 2008. I was having lunch with different people everyday... everyone that i met seem like very interested about my trip to Uganda Africa... I was telling the my experience again and again... sound like the old grandma story... hehehe which make me think about Twilight... hehehe... :p

Anyway, I was enjoying my day off with all the activities, gym, eat, gym eat, gym and eat...once a while road trip... eat, gym, eat ...  my best achievement was to convince one of my friends who i tagged him as Mr.shy to start hitting the group exercise classes... Way to go Mr.Shy :-) You are no longer shy eh!

I was back to the same old life i.e. TGIF, Tony Romas, Starbucks, Hard Rock Cafe (HRC), Gym and gym and gym for the whole month of November... Guess what? i got my credit card statement and noticed that it got me lots of damages. So, i slow down and it has been a while i didn't hit those places like TGIF, Tony Romas but still going to Starbucks :) 

Anyway... i have enjoyed lots of  valuable time with all my friends... Detail on what happened in TZ's life on November 2008...

Flashback 2008 : October

It was an interesting month for me... I was in a new environment, new workforce, new country, new culture... what else? Everything seems like new the moment i stepped down from the plane. Oh ya! New faces too .... hehehe :)

My decision of leaving Malaysia for Uganda has took away my life in Malaysia... First of all, I need to really get used to the electricity interruption, then the mosquitoes that bother me for a week and nearly made me forgo my job in Africa... I would like to thanks to my dearest colleagues whom passed me the insect killer... Thanks Mary!... Many more interesting place and experience that i had within the month of October 2008.
