Busy months in ahead....

My 2nd last semester for MBA has resumed on Nov 29th 2014.
This semester I'm taking 3 modules. In other word, more sleepless night~
Each module has two assignments (individual and group) and two of the modules have final exam which have to score at least 40% out of 100% to pass the module. Scary eh~

Anyway, I'm looking forward to end this semester and i say MY LAST SEMESTER which is coming in March.

December
As you know, there is a trip to Myanmar already planned and the execution date is Dec 19th - Dec 25th 2014. Yes! We are going to spend Xmas in Myanmar.
After coming back from Myanmar, I'm gonna make a trip to Singapore for year end countdown... 

January 
Hehehe... my birthday month, anyone wants to celebrate my birthday?
I can foresee my January will be packed with group assignment and presentation. Which one of the group assignment due on January 4th 2014... *sob sob*  I have to bring my lappie with me to Myanmar.

February
Chinese New Year month but this CNY is a study CNY... right after CNY is my final exam. Sigh~
Anyway, I still haven't decide whether should go over to Ho Chi Minh City or stay in Kuala Lumpur. *Flipping the Coin*

Looks like 24 hours is not enough for me... I need 48hrs maybe 72hrs...

MBA - not Married But Available

I was working on my MBA assignment for the past few days... It's not a tough assignment per said but it's a lot of thought to come out a reasonable assignment for gaining as many marks as possible. In fact I'm suppose to review and revise my write up and submit to my team for consolidation by today. I'm not in the mood of writing the assignment. Sigh~

Lots of my friends were surprise that i still further my study to get my MBA... This dream suppose to be materialize couple years ago but unfortunately i refused to be tied down to scarified my weekend and social night out.

Year 2013, i have made up my mind to pursue 1.5 years MBA and made my dream come true. TZ is a student now... Anyone wanna treat a student a nice meal?

PS: Can i exercise my student rights? No need to pay for my meal... Any sponsorship?

6 projects and 1 PM...

Do I enjoy my work in my new company?
My answer will be 937. (What is 937? Just use your phone keypad to find out.)

Why?... Hmmm... I felt satisfied when handle these projects. They gave me a moderate challenge at this moment given that I'm still new. Expectation is not as high yet. But moving forward I have anticipated more challenges with higher expectation from my boss and my co-workers.

Recently, a lot of my time has been invested into ramping up in my new job. I wanted to get up to speed to be able to be one generation ahead of the up coming actinides. Now, due to new to these projects.

Will I make it? Again I would say 937. I will definitly try my best to achieve them. At this moment, I will have to continue to invest my time...

Something Shifted

Not the movie Switch... It's actually something in my life and usual time/schedule has been switched since i was tight up with this current project.

Those switches are

1. Time to go to gym: Switch from evening to morning
2. Time to do business (poo) : Switch from morning to night.
3. Time to wake up in the morning:  Pull in 2.5 hours to cater for morning gym.
4. Time to sleep: Remain the same. 

According to my mom, she said it's good to sleep before 11pm. But given i just got off work on 10pm daily for the past one week, by the time i reached home and took a shower, it's already 11 something... and i also took my daily vegetables intake (snack). So how to sleep early... Sigh~

Anyway, my eyes are tired now... gotta hit the bed now and wake up at 5:30am for gym.

Disaster Monday

The application that my team supported was down for a few minutes... Just a few minutes... The customers have logged the incident as a major incident... So lots of paper work needed to be done before closing this issue. Sigh~ WTF!!!... That's not our fault. Maybe just a bad day. Let's invite Daniel Powter to sing his famous song...



Really need to go to pray more this Chinese New Year. I thought i could leave the office @ 6pm and headed home for dinner with my parents. Guess what? My plan was out and i got stuck with stakes of issues...

At about 8pm,

Me: Hello...
Dad: Hello...
Me: Dad, i don't think i could get back home to have dinner. Can you ask mom to keep all the left over in the fridge. I will be going back after my dinner.
Dad: Okay. You will be back late today?
Me: Yup, most probably very late... still have tans of problem to close.
Dad: Okay, take care and drive safely.
Me: Okay bye now.

I continued my job with my engineer after the conversation with my dad. My engineer and i have been the last person out from the office for the past few days since last Thursday. I wanna to put a stop, will plan out some backup on CNY. Hopefully we could celebrate our peaceful CNY in this coming weekend. Let's get our finger cross...

I was drained out... I need a good sleep now. Ciao~

Exam is coming!

Last Friday, I finally submitted my enrollment to a certification examination to become SAP consultant... I got an instant confirmation reply from SAP Malaysia and stated my exam will be on July 31st 2009 i.e. 3 weeks from now ... :p

The exam is a multiple choice examination with 5 folders of study material and each folder have about 300 pagers of material to be studied... The trainer taught us has advised us to allocate at least 4 hours per day... I was being lazy and in addition with lots of activities (i.e. gym) after the class ... At the end of the day, I only spent 2 hours per day. hmmm.... now i started to feel the heat... so much things to cover yet and left 3 weeks... sad sad sad .... :(

The examination is a multiple choice question... The questions are from different sections of the reading material which carried different weightage ... hmmm what need to focus more? I think i should go and ask the trainer tomorrow morning for some study tips... It's important to know the weightage so i could maximize my score during the exam... Anyway, no short cut to gain the certification... So what is the keyword to pass the exam?

STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!!

blog expired ....

I know someone might be going to give me a blog expiry comment ... errrrrr.... i could not cope with blogging now as i have been busy on my study on SAP... another 1 more month to go for my certification exam... Will try my best to update my blog ... i have so many things to write about but not in the mood to update ... blek! 

Study is my main focus now until mid of August... :)

I'm back online ....

The internet was down for 4 days... finally, it's back up again :-)

Anyway, for the past three days, I was having a lots of meeting together with my new team in the project. Guess what? I have my first taste of the African food :-) The African food is nice and it tastes superb. I like the steam sweet potatoes, yam and banana with the peanut sauces. And the mutton with some sauce, I just don't know what kind of sauce but it's Yummy! :-p I will have more African food with my new team members here in Kampala moving forward... they are going to bring me for lunch in some local restaurants nearby our workplace.

BTW, I got few Guru to teach me Luganda (the language of Uganda) too. I'm going to pick up the language. Anyway, it has been a busy week and it's Friday now. I will be hitting the gym in a short while and go to my boss place to have dinner and chill out there after my gym session.

The beginning of the project....

For the past few days, 

• I was running from one meeting to another
  
• loading with so many ideas
  
• squeeze my brain juice to strategize the project kick off
  
• planning how to impress my future bosses :-p
  
• understand the expectation of the team
  
• socializing with the management --> Learning on drinking more alcohol that i used to drink.
  
• Eating unhealthy breakfast (oops hopefully McD will not sue me!) <-- anyway, this is from my personal perspective
  

I'm still in the uncomfortable zone... in fact this is the beginning of my new chapter with new project, new challenge... Challenges yet to come until i touch down @ Uganda. When i'm going to Uganda? Still waiting for the Green Light from Uganda.

Gotta rush for another team meeting now!... Catch up with you folks....  BTW, thanks for all of your support throughout my sad period... you're my greatest companion to overcome my roadblock. :->

Meeting --> Rework presentation --> Meeting

I have presented so many time to the management... yesterday morning was the worst presentation i never had... What happen to the TZ before, i managed to present to so many upper management and got the confident but I was out of sync on the expectation for yesterday presentation.... *sigh*

Okay, let me back track a bit here... I was given a short lead time with a least expectation. BTW, i was not the person that came out the proposal... this has already posted a challenge to me on not understand the head and the tail... moreover given so many unknown, i would need to present to the CEO and CIO on this coming Thursday. They were here because they would like to meet me and hear from me on the project related presentation. Am i confident to present to impress the CEO and CIO? I think i could but anyhow, lots of effort needed for this coming 24 hours... I was lucky to have a new colleague of mine voluntarily to help me on getting the presentation done as she have a good visibility on the project but at the end i still need to do my part to learn up some quick knowledge in case the CEO and CIO ask question during the presentation.

Guess what? I finished work @ about 9pm last night and quickly rush to next meeting which is the DUKE Highway related meeting... The committee members are going to meet the YB tomorrow evening to raise our concern on what the construction site has bought to the surrounding area i.e. health, safety risk to the resident, road users whom stay around and pass by the construction sites. I'm going to bring along my camera to snapshot some picture.

Preparation for my new job...

After i accepted the job to leave Malaysia for Uganda last Friday, I have been busying getting things ready. As a project manager, I need to draw a schedule to manage my own items for this 2 weeks before leaving for Uganda, Africa. I only have limited resource to handle this and no push out... muahahah.... :-p

On Saturday, i went to a Luncheon with my Mom @ Westin Hotel downtown... later we left KL for Penang to spend a relaxing weekend with our relative + cousin... at the same time visiting the temple on Wesak day. 

During my stay @ Penang, I managed to pay a visit to Queensbay  for shopping and got myself 5 new shirt and 2 ties from G2000. I have to changed my closet as i no longer with the factory environment ... yuppie... tie and suit! Don't put me wrong, factory people are not fashionable... sometime think about it, factory environment is much more better as we could save lots of money... don't need have a separate set of clothing just for work... :-> the clothing can be wear for work and off work ... how i wish! 

I still have the laundry list to be completed before i leave Malaysia. Banking, Passport renewal, disease prevention injection, .... what else? So many items in such a short time ... *sob sob*... Anyway, I just finished doing my passport a moment ago... waiting to collect @ 11am. Hopefully, i would be able to finish before 12pm. I will have to drive over to Summit for my 1pm PT session... later meeting Dave whom came back from Vietnam for vacation @ Sunway Pyramid. That's goes my day for today. :'(

I will be going in to the office (new office) tomorrow morning for training. Meeting more new people from different group, hopefully i would be able to meet my new team members. Looking forward to meet them :-> but before then, i need to come out project strategy presentation for tomorrow presentation. Need to finish by today... :->
