Roasted Pork and Duck

After midnight today, the hokkien ethnic is going to celebrate the 9th days of lunar new year (拜天公). I am going to accompany my parents to my grand uncle's house to celebrate this 9th days of lunar new year. There was lots of things to prepare for the prayer and celebration. My grand aunt has done most of the preparation.

At 5pm in the evening, I drove my parents to downtown near Pudu market to get the roasted pork and Duck. I was parking at the side of the road and waiting for my parent to get to the market to buy the required food...

e-mart @ Pudu

Waited for about 15 mins and finally my parents came back with two pack of plastic bag with the roasted pork and duck... Yummy!

We headed over to the KLCC to pick up my brother-in-law, he worked today as his office was located in PJ... He and my sis will pull over night in my condo tonight. Since my brother-in-law has not reached Isetan KLCC by train, we waited him near the mosque @ KLCC. Managed to take this picture of the twin tower @ 6:18pm while waiting for him... :p

Once i picked up my brother-in-law... we just headed home. When we reached my condo, mom transfered the roasted duck and pork to a plate and container... I managed to take the yummy and crispy roasted port and duck... Drool drool

Hehehe.... after the prayer/celebration, all the food will be in our stomach ... yummy! i'm looking forward for the food... yaya! I know it's very fattening to eat after midnight. But nevermind just one year once, moreover i will hit the gym and workout harder tomorrow... Kakakakaaaa....

I kinda needed Anton to explain this to me since I've never heard of the Hokkien version of CNY. Nonetheless, it was a pretty interesting cultural difference - never knew the Hokkiens celebrate CNY differently!
