The Zoo come to you...

"In other part of the world, we go to the zoo. In India, the zoo come to you" said our guide whom accompanied us in Agra India.

This is really true after staying in India for 10 days.

Did you recognize this?
How about this?
Goat on the road too...
So do you agree with the tour guide... Zoo come to you in India~
Anyone been to India with the same feeling?

Singapore Safari Zoo Run 2014 : Unleash the BEASTS in you...

Have you heard about Singapore Safari Zoo Run?  I didn't take part in 2013... this year my friend in Singapore has signed me up for this run... I decided to run 6km and it's a fun run. No stressed but fun... :p

Waiting for my turn to run
This is my first time running in the zoo... A different experience especially have to bare with the stared from different animals during the run. And not many cheer from the organizers cause they have passed their cheering job to the host... :p

If given a choice to choose an animal to run with, who would you choose?

A marketeer?
A sleepy Lion?
An Elephant?
An ostrich?
A mighty white Tiger?
Have you made up your mind? Are you ready to run with your chosen animal? Hehehe... I won't tell me your choice but please do not ask me to choose Turtle eh~

Getting ready for the run
It's time to hit the starting line... On your mark get set GO GO GO~

Waiting for Flag off for 6km Fun Run
Due to great response, the organizer has broken us into few groups for flag-off. I was in Wave #3...  This is a fun run... I spent most of my time taking picture of the animal along the way... we passed by Night Safari and day zoo. I managed to see the Night Safari in daytime ;-)

Come come come~ Take picture...Common word that you will heard most of the time... Fun Eh~

I finished the whole 6km in 1.5 hours... longer than my 10km run. Oops~ But anywhere i gotten my finisher medal too... Yay~ Yay~

Ya right? as if we really met SunWuKong 孙悟空.  LOL...

Anyway, our tour guide has explained all about the monkeys and its communities

  1. how the monkeys survive in the swampy area
  2. what is their food source
  3. ... blah blah blah...

Last but not least, he touched about the sexual topic on how sexually active are those monkeys and how the male search for sex from the female, how long the sex would last and so on.

Few minutes after his explanation... the monkey started to provide us a free live show. Hey, is that our luck to have the free show?

Two Pandas loan from China

The Stars newspaper published on June 11th 2012 7:11pm - "China to loan two pandas to Malaysia for 10 years". According to the news, it will bring good to Malaysia for
  • The Stars : To get better relationship between Malaysia and China in order to bring more China investor to Malaysia and boast our lovely country economic
    • TZ : How much our lovely country needs to invest to host the pandas and what is the Return on Investment (ROI). Is this worth to invest?
  • The Starts : To enable Malaysia to conduct conservation research on the giant panda
    • TZ:  I don't see any benefit in Malaysia as we don't have pandas. If the lovely government stated to conduct conservation research on Malaya Sun Bear. Then i still see some benefit to the scientists and the nations. BTW, if they wanna study Panda, why can't the country send the selected scientists over to China, i bet the expenses will be way lower than hosting the two pandas.
  • The Stars : Promote public awareness on Panda conservation undertaken by China.
    • TZ : I don't see any benefit to Malaysia and its people.
  • The Stars : Encourage the public to appreciate and learn the importance of biodiversity and wildlife conservation of Malaysia.
    • TZ : There are many more Wildlife in Malaysia needed funding to setup conservation.. Why not promoting helping these wildlife e.g. Malaya Sun Bear... how many of you know that the Malaya Sun bear actually originated from Malaysia/Borneo. I believe the Sun Bear conservation would also be able to encourage the public to appreciate and learn the importance of wildlife conservation of Malaysia. But very sad these wildlife conservation do not get as much funding as our lovely government plans to spend on the two pandas.
In this case, I'm really disappointed how our lovely government plan to use our hard earned money aka tax payer money to fund the unnecessary items which DO NOT BENEFIT the nation. There are lots more that we need funding but never gotten any... Sigh~

This is the 2nd week i posted Monkey as the Photogenic Wednesday... this is not the normal Monkey... it's the world famous proboscis monkey...

the monkey was hiding his face

still very shy to show his face

finally he showed his face

I took these pictures when i paid a visit to Sabah two years ago. This was taken @ a river cruise on the longest river in Sabah i.e. Kinabatang river. The so called Eco Tourism site. It was a nice trip with an exciting boat tour along the river. We managed to see the mangrove snake hanging down from the trees... and of cause we saw these Monkey along the way. The tour guide told us the Monkey will not go anyway reason being they have no way to go.. behind the few trees are all those palm oil estate... I was pissed when i heard that thanks to our lovely government approved those plantation company to clear those nice jungle and green the land with palm oil... and left a few trees besides the river and promote to the world that Malaysia has nice Eco Tourism... is this cheating or what? it's really really sad and ashamed to be a Malaysian? Errrr ... I really have no comments. What would you say?

Rhinoceros from side way

What is Rhinoceros?

Rhinoceros (pronounced /raɪˈnɒsərəs/), often colloquially abbreviated rhino, is a name used to group five extant species of odd-toed ungulates in the family rhinocerotidae. Two of these species are native to Africa and three to southern Asia. Three of the five species—theJavan, Sumatran and Black Rhinoceros—are critically endangered. The Indian is endangered, with fewer than 2,700 individuals remaining in the wild. The White is registered as "vulnerable", with approximately 17,500 remaining in the wild, as reported by the International Rhino Foundation.[1][2]

On visiting Semanggoh Wildlife Center...

Jonzz and I saw some notes on the white board @ the lodge... The notes stated Semanggoh (1 pax)... So we started to ask the hotel person where is Semanggoh and any transportation, how much to go to that place ... what could we see @ that place etc ... lots of questions like a small kiddo...

Since we haven't been to the place, we arranged the transportation... it cost us RM25... RM20 for the transportation and RM5 for the entrance fee... it was quite cheap... better than the Sepilok center in Sabah... which was so expensive... sigh~

Anyway, what we could see in Semanggoh Wildlife Center... hehehe.... continue reading....

Flower Flower Flower .... Orchid lar....

At about 9pm... We need to gather @ the entrance of the walk way to the feeding and spectator platform for some briefing before we were allowed to enter.... Lots of rules.... be quiet, do not use flash etc...  Once the door open, three of us, Jonzz, Chris, and I were walking towards the feeding / spectator platform... so what were the wildlife center feeding... errrrrr.... it's actually Orang Utan. :)

The spectator platform was @ the end of the walkway... we need to stand @ the platform quietly to wait for the Orang Utan to travel to the feeding platform... It was interesting because the rangers were calling names... each of the Orang Utan has a name... btw, there were two new born Orang Utan who has no name yet... they were waiting for people to adopt... I was so tempted to adopt one of the baby Orang Utan and name him TZ... kakaka :p But unfortunately with my current financial condition... I don't think i could afford to adopt an Orang Utan... Sorry man!

After a few minutes of calling... a mother with her child swung over a rope and landed @ the feeding platform... Later followed by couple of others Orang Utan....

Mother and her child

ahahahahaha..... I'm Tarzan

What should i do right now, so many human being are looking @ me?

After the food intake... there was an Orang Utan started with showing us some acrobatic swing and hanging himself upside down :)

Hey everyone! Look @ me .... where is the Clap Clap eh!

Later he just sat on top of the spectator platform... the ranger was asking us to avoid standing below the Orang Utan unless we wanted a warm shower... hehehe. Anyway, before the shower came i managed to took a shot..... are you able to find where is the Orang Utan?

High risk shots .... No warm shower... Stop taking shots of my butt :p

We left the place at about 10am... no one could stay on with the Orang Utan... so we walked back to the civilization, hopped up the van that we came with... and headed back to the city. On the way back, I text one of my friends regarding i met a cute and muscular guy on visiting the Orang Utan in Semanggoh Wildlife Center... He's so cute and friendly....

Me: Hey dude, I met a new friends name Ritche... He is muscular and so friendly...i managed to get his picture... will share with you later. He is so sooooooooooo cute.
Frenz: You are so gay. Are you sure you're not? hehehe
Me: Errrrr.... Did i ring your gaydar?
Frenz: You are so gay. so gay. so gay. Blek!
Me: Errrrr.... :o

Since i promised my friend to show him the picture of Ritche... so stay tune eh! I will post Ritche picture tomorrow.... hehehe :p

Anyhow, it was a nice visit to our friends' home Orang Utan + met a new friend name Ritche... *Two Thumbs Up*
