There is this place called The Great Escape... basically it's a hidden place that you can escape from most of the PRC / MIC tourists in Singapore... you may be able to escape from crowd like Orchard or Marina Bay Sand. Hmmm... what else you can escape from... let's see~

It's actually located Golden Mile tower parking... so it over look the view of the new stadium and the eye of Singapore with the side view of marina bay sand...

Great place to have an evening booze booze and chat chat... My friend has a nap too. Oops~
We spent about an hour plus and headed to Arab street later~

Coffee Place : Infusion @ One Utama

One evening while waiting for my movie to starts on 19:00. I paid a visit to this side walk coffee place, Infusion @ One Utama. It located in the old wing and one floor below TGV.

I gotten a warm greeting from the barista and ordered a Latte. Sat at the sofa behind the counter and chill over there for an hour. There is one friendly, talkative and playful barista that made the place become lively. He greeted passby and try to strike conversation with them. It's a very different environment from others.

Bar hopping @ Georgetown, Penang

The night before The Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) run, TZ and friend went for a bar hopping in heritage site Penang downtown.

First stop, Traffic @ Beach Street, didn't managed to see any traffic police inside... Just saw two singers on the stage singing mandarin song... Quite a nice bistro for chatting, not so packed. Not sure it's too early~
Two singers was singing Chinese Song
2nd Stop: CAMEO - Come And Meet Each Others, not many people for us to meet. Maybe it's too early. The music is okay and it's actually a dancing club...

Come And Meet Each Other (CAMEO)
Quite empty - DJ at the stage rolling upbeat music

We ordered a bottle of beer, stay about 45 mins and decided to move on to the next destination, THE BANK... don't worry we are not gonna rob the bank eh~ We might rob the drink only. LoL

The Bank - Anyone need money?
We ended up skipped The Bank and proceed to The Press due to the timing...
Why the bar called THE PRESS? The building was hosted Kwang Wah Yit Poh press office. It has turned to one of the heritage building and the bar is named THE PRESS
The Press
To our surprise, there were a cover charge of RM50 each with a free bottle of beer or one bucket of beer / smirnoff vodka each. We told the front lady, we could not finished two buckets and she offered us to leave those for our next visit. Hey~ how long are you able to let us leave the bottles, ONE YEAR, TWO YEARS... WE ARE TOURIST LAH!!! In additional, TZ's friend was kind of pisse and a bit sarcastic... she quickly turned and agreed with our purchase of one bucket to enter THE PRESS. This was a surprise to TZ how they managed...

Anyway, we kind of enjoy our time in THE PRESS.
Inside THE PRESS
Compare to the rest of the bars, THE PRESS has the nicest interior and it has a mini skybar on the top floor which can oversee the ferry terminal and port weld. A cool place for chill over a bottle of beer or a glass of wine.

After finished a bucket + 1 bottle of Smirnoff Vodka, we decided to head back to our hotel and got 2 hours of sleep before the PBIM run. It was a very enjoyable night out with friend. ;-)

Coffee Place : Whisk Outpost @ One Utama

It's Friday again... What is your plan for weekend?

I went to Whisk Outpost @ One Utama few months back with a friend. That's why you see two cups of coffee in this post...

I like the artistic way of presenting their name on the mirror

Nicely done artistic coffee
The environment is simple and very classic, felt like old coffee place in Europe. You may sit alone at the corner or chatting with one or two friends over a cup of coffee...

They sells cake and pastry but i have not tried that yet. Maybe i have to try their cakes. No doubt it is a small and cozy coffee place, you will not feel as pack as the well known chain coffee place Starbie.

Have you been to this coffee place before? If not just give it a try and let us know what do you think about this coffee place eh~

On chilling @ Premium Lounge KLIA

My friends said I'm a frequent traveller... some of them said KLIA and KLIA2 are my 2nd home.

Do you know my 2nd home KLIA got a nice premium lounge which served free flow of Heineken Beer?

Oct 31st 2014 - I was leaving City of Potholes to City of Angel up north... I went to the airport earlier to try to catch an earlier flight. Due to my ticket is a cheapest fare, i could not checked myself in to the earlier flight. As a result, i have 3 hours to spend.

After checked-in to my original flight, i went through the immigration and security check, then went into the train to the satellite building where the KLIA Premium Lounge located. I remembered one of my credit card allowed me to stay up to 3 hours in the lounge free~

So, I decided to pay a visit and found out that they served food and Heineken Beer free...

I have been traveling for nearly every week but I didn't bother to sit in the lounge and enjoy the food, drink and its environment. But now, since they have free flow of drinks which i could booze without paying anything, i will always visit when i fly off from KLIA...

Coffee Place : Cafe Berlin @ 1 Mont Kiara

Cafe Berlin
Cafe Berlin serves illy coffee, the coffee is normal just that it's very convenient for me while i have some break in between that i need a place to hangout prior to my gym or after gym waiting for traffic to clear.

The cake is delicious but in the high side... So if you get a coffee and cake, you are looking at RM20+

Overall, quite a good coffee place to hangout with friends or just to sit there watching people walking by...

Coffee Place : Coffea Coffee @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

It's Friday again. Let's have a coffee and chill before the weekend comes. The Coffea Coffee is a chain store, more and more Coffea Coffee exist in town. The first Coffea that i been to is located in between The Curve and e@curve. This is the 2nd Coffea Coffee that i have visited.

Coffea Coffee @ The Strand has drawn my attention to blog about this coffee place. Reason being the baristas were so energetic and has made the environment so lively and welcoming with the superb service and friendliness conversation.

The moment you walked in you feel like you are welcomed with warm heart. And of cause the small talk with the friendly cashier and how the cashier greet us has added marks to the review ;-) I just think the environment has made you wanted to go back and have a cup of warm coffee.

Do you have such an experience?

Usual Saturday night chill out place!!!...

I sent my cousin this via whatsapp...

Cousin replied: Starbie rite... I saw u d :)
my replied: kub

We usually visit Ikano Power Center (IPC) after our dinner. My mom, aunty, uncle and cousin usually head over to Popular bookstore for books. I usually chill in Starbie IPC. Starbie IPC is quiet and less crowded on Saturday night. I get to online over in Starbie while waiting for them to come over and look for me after they have done their reading at the bookstore.

Last Saturday night, as usual I order a drink at the counter and headed my usual seat in Starbie IPC. A seat that can view the whole activities in Starbie IPC. I ordered Chocolate Cream Chip Frappe...

Chocolate Cream Chip Frappe
Started to study my Project Management Exam next week... All of sudden people just rushed in and the whole place was getting noisy. Toddles were shouting and making lots of unwanted noisy. What i hoped was they leave as soon as possible. But they were not... Too bad~

I ended up settle with my earphone to reduce the noise...

Coffee Place : Three little birds

The Three Little Birds cafe located in a very unique place @ D7 Sentul (YTL new business center). The D7 building is a contemporary style building with a small garden inside the building which make Three Little Birds cafe different from other cafe in the city.

Three Little Birds cafe has the privilege to use the garden which allows its patron to sit outside the table surrounding with greenery plants.

Inside the cafe
Simple interior design with the strong coffee smell has drawn a coffee lover like me to wanna to try their coffee. I asked the staff for its signature drink, the staff introduced me to the white chocolate coffee... Nice but a bit sweet as I like more coffee taste.

White Chocolate Coffee
My friend ordered the CHAI... So what is CHAI? It's tea latte~

The environment is stunning, coffee wise is so so~

Yummy Sarawakian Food

When you go for a tour, what you will definitely not missing is to try out as many local food as possible. My trip to Kuching was also a food tasting trip besides the point of interest (Sarawakian Cultural Village, Kuching City tour and Sarawak River Cruise etc). Managed to try various famous Sarawakian food from Siew Bee, Kolo Mee to the three layer tea...

Three Layer Tea
Sarawakian Layer Cake
Not sure whether the Sarawakian really like layering.... They have famous layer tea, layer cake and what else?... LoL

My friend bought me to this 80 years old Siew Bee Stall. This stall located in a food court near the river. Siew Bee in Kuching means Siew Mai in Kuala Lumpur. But Siew Bee tastes different from Siew Mai.. I don't know how to describe the difference but i recommend you to try out yourself. The Siew Bee in this  small stall which has survived with only selling one product for 80 years. It's no doubt very tasty... Yum yum~

80 years old business - Siew Bee
Guess what? My friend can wallop around 20s at one time... And his parents hand carried the frozen Siew Bee to Kuala Lumpur for my friend. :p

Sarawak have few famous noodles  i.e. Kolo Mee; Kampua mee and Laksa Sarawak... I managed to try two out of three noodles. Kampua mee is Sibu famous noodle. So I need to pay a visit to Sibu to taste this noodles and not forgetting the famous Empurau Fish too.

Kolo Mee
Laksa Sarawak
Every state in Malaysia has its own Laksa, but Laksa Sarawak has its own unique taste. First of all, it's not LEMAK (no coconut milk), and it also not so spicy. This is because its soup base is only full of quality black pepper planted in Sarawak.

Sarawakian also have its own famous wine called Tuak (Made of Rice). The % of  alcohol contain is quite high, i'm not sure how much but once you have a few sips. You will feel tipsy...

Home-made Tuak
Are you drooling over all these yummy food? Will you fly over to Kuching to taste all these Yummy food?

Food overloaded... #Malacca - Part #1

I made a trip down to Malacca with a bunch of friends... We were targeting the food in Malacca. Reached Malacca at about 1:30pm and straightaway check-into Aldy Malacca. Dumped the bag and headed out to search for food. (everyone was so soooo hungry)

@Jonker 88 - we had Cendol, Nyonya Laksa and Lok bak. I forgot to take a shot on Nyonya Laksa + Lok Bak as i was so hungry and attacked like a hungry man.

Can you differentiate which one have durian which one not?

Dim Sim @ Jonker Street - This aunty has been selling Siu Mai over the years in Jonker street. Her Siu Mai is very popular as she sells RM3 for 5 Siu Mai...

which type of Siu Mai you like?
@Xiang Ji Pork Satay - Next stop after Jonker 88, pork satay @ Jalan Portugis. On the way to the satay place, there were one local uncle whom sat under the tree and asked my friend " The satay nice to eat meh? First time r?" My friend answer "don't know ler...first time"... Lesson learned, if next time a local ask you this question. You should reconsider to go ahead. Why i say so? Cause the satay is just so so only...

Satay is a bit dry
Walking under the sun from one place to another place was not really fun... so we decided to stop over some cool place i.e. Alfresco by the rivers to chill... We went into @Lao San Cafe

Lao San Cafe is famous for its Cendol - We only knew that after our visit. Those people whom visited Lao San Cafe and tasted its Cendol has given *two thumbs and two legs up* including me... It's very delicious. Not sure their chicken wings but the spring rolls was NOT really nice.

Cendol by the river... Luckily no additional fragrance
@Aunty Lee, Ujong Pasir - rate 2/5 (Lousy Service, Normal food, pricy)
Recommended by a friend friend of mine whose hometown is in Malacca and now staying in Singapore. We are only allow to make reservation after 8pm. Moreover, when making reservation, we need to order the dishes too... Sigh~ The dishes were cold when we arrived. My friend whom owns a kitchen even said, he could cook better than this restaurant. Looking forward to taste my friend's nyonya dishes ;-)

Four dishes (size small) and rice + drink = RM94 (5pax)
After the dinner @ Aunty Lee, we headed to Jonker Street Night Market for a walk. Luckily the hu-haa has temporary placed aside and the Jonker Street Night Market opened their business as usual...

We were not managed to get into Hard Rock Cafe, we decided to buy some beer and have them in our room as we have a family mini suites which has table and chair for 5 pax. We bought chips and Carlsburg Special Brew as our booze. So we boozing away...  and called it a day when all of us got HIGH...

Stay tune for Food overloaded... #Malacca - Part #2 eh~

Brotzeit @ Mid Valley

Two Friday ago, I was having the dinner with SK and Anton in Mid Valley. I didn't know there is a nice German Pub that served nice porky dishes... Sorry guys, non-halal stuff. So please do not proceed if you not into this kind of food ;-)

Porky food outlet actually targeted the niche market, so it's not easy to get a nice porky place. It happened that Anton got to know this place which he claimed that lots of bloggers have reviewed and given this place a TWO THUMBS up a.k.a LIKE in Facebook.

Brotzeit @ Midvalley is the German restaurant that we visited, we were enjoying ourselves so much with the nice porky platter for sharing... Buy 1 free 1 alcohol drinks (Vodka, Gin, ... etc). Of cause the company with two of my close friends :p

Porky platter
Left only few pieces
Guess  what my friends said in Facebook...
Friend #1 : Pls Ta Bao (pack) some for me... ;p Hungry le ;p
Friend #2 : Wah! Looks good man!
Friend #3 : Looks delicious!
Friend #4 : Wonder if same as Singapore Brotzeit
Friend #5 : Wonderful service, food, drinks and chats!
Friend #2 : Looks quite similar.
Friend #6 : Wow

Friend #3 likes this.

Unfortunately when i found out the message, we have wallop all the eatable parts of the porky platter... Left...

Last weekend of February...

The Last weekend of February celebrated with lots of food and drinks...

Saturday Feb 25th 2012:  I drove to Klang for a crabby night out. The tasty crab in Bagan Hainam @ Port Klang. Before the dinner, we worked out @ Klang Bukit Tinggi gym to lose some calories in order to have the nice food without guilt.

At around 7 something, we met the other friend of mine in whom stay in Klang. A 45 mins drive from KBT towards the Hainam village. During the journey, we were catching up with each others.

We ordered three dishes, one pork stew fried noodles, one mantis prawn and three baked crab (each of us one).

Three baked crab
After we finished the crab, i was not satisfied and later we ordered another crabby dish. This time, we ordered steam Crab with Roe... yum yum...

Steam Crab with Roe
We ended up with a total RM180 for 5 crabs, one dish of mantis prawn, one pork stew fried noodles, two bottles of Tiger Beer. 1 watermelon juice... Quite reasonable eh~

Sunday Feb 26th 2012: At around 4pm, my mom and I went to my uncles place. My uncle has invited us over and he has prepared spaghetti. My the other aunty bought the famous Seremban Siew Pau and the crispy pork (Siew york). We had a simple dinner. Together with the dinner, my uncle has opened a few bottles of wine. We were sitting in the living room drinking wine from 4pm - 10pm while outside was raining... Uncle kept opening different types of wine i.e. wine from New Zealand, Argentina. My uncle decided to open this bottle of wine on my aunty request (his wife).

20 years old Late Harvest Wine
Unfortunately the label was destroyed and we could not determine the exact name of the wine. And my uncle has forgot the name. This wine is categories as sweetness and it's a late harvest wine. This wine was in my uncle's collection for nearly 20 years. it's a very very nice wine. The wine smell good and the sweetness of the wine is purely came from grapes. I like it so much ...

That's all for my final weekend of Feb 2012...
Looking forward for another wine tasting gathering *wink

So not sure when he will get back to me with the propose time...
