All Set!!!....

Another 10 more minutes... it's the countdown of the 51th Malaysia Independent day...

Setting up the gadget...

I'm setting up my gadget for the fireworks in downtown KL... there are three places with fireworks display... Dataran Merdeka, KLCC and Bukit Bintang. I could get this three spots clearly from my balcony. :->

Since i have bought my new lens few months back. This will be the first time i will take the fireworks again. I hope to capture nice fireworks from my balcony... Will post the picture here... stay tune eh!

Happy 51 Birthday Malaysia... can we improve the public transportation in KL????... :-p

Good Morning .... will tomorrow a better day?

I woke up as early as 5am something... not sure why but just jumped up from the bed with solutions in my mind on how i'm going to close this gap. Maybe some message just sent from somewhere. hehehe...

I was extremely down yesterday... for many months i was struggling on my emotion and life especially working life which i'm still don't have a job. I got a great support from my parents... they were the person that support me to go on with all the challenge that i faced. Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me the LOVE and SUPPORT. For the past few months, I always looking back what i had before in my previous company which making me even down... Until yesterday, the Friday that i have been, I strongly belief this was the black Friday for me. I never felt so down on my job... *Sigh* I'm the person that i could come out from the problems and challenges i faced without going to the depression. So far, i was going through the depression when i broke out with my ex-girlfriend two years ago. That was a painful moment... that event has triggered me to start this blog which brought me back on track... :->

I could not stop thinking about what had happened especially those issues and gaps were not even the challenges from the project itself... it's all related to people issues and this even not the group of customers... *sigh*  So, I decided to hit the gym which i could release part of my stress and uncomfortable feeling to the machines and weight (Sorry dear machine and weight). I spent about 1.5 hrs to work out in the gym... refreshing my mind... After the gym, I dropped by TGIF the Curve to have my dinner (oops... spent again!) Anyway, i felt that it's a good spent.. why? (just continue reading).... I have some chat and chill out with Benjie... Looking at Benjie juggling @ the bar... (btw, side track, Benjie has won 4th place in the Malaysia Flair Open 2008). He made couples of nice cocktail for me. Shahrul, the restaurant manager of Teh Tarik joined me later... :-> I spent about 4 hrs in TGIF sitting @ the bar observing the crowd and of course my processor still processing to come out a solution.... I'm not the person could solve the problem in the office or home... I need to go out sitting in crowded place to get my inspiration of solving the problem... :-> Anyway... no solution was generated last night. I left TGIF with a little bit alcohol influence... still able to drive back safely.

I just don't know why... when i hit home... after finished washing my gym clothing, as usual i login to the net, facebook, my blog etc. I was sitting on the couch and dozed off. I belief with the right amount of alcohol influence and a tired mind, I went into sleepy mode... :-> This is a good, at least i was not continue processing until i was sleepless. When i woke up this morning, i felt much more better.... :->

I always belief along the toughest path there will be lots of friends supporting me to go through the toughest path. Since yesterday, I received lots of friends showing their concern on my situation... I was appreciated with all my friends... Thanks you for all of your support and patience of listening, reading my rumbling...  To my surprise, I received an offer from my new colleague offer his help to close the gap even during the long weekend, my future boss also sent me a mail to offer me help whenever i needed. I'm really appreciated their support and help so far.

No doubt this is a tough transition for me in term of culture and job. I have made up my mind... no matter how tough I will not give up, I will go ahead and make this happen... This is my promise! My Commitment! No one can put me down from today onwards... I would need to be strong to overcome this.... Will tomorrow a better day? I would say YES!

TZ is sitting on the fence...

How do you feel to sit on the fence again? I belief most of you should have felt that, my emotion was not stable for the past few days. I was upset not because of the work that my team and I came out didn't suit what my future boss expectation. In fact, I was happy to get more feedback and expectation from him. At least, we started talking in detail and understand more... He is a nice guy to work with... :-> I valued his feedback... I'm looking forward to work with him in Uganda Africa.

What bother me was that another things which it has reached the limit of my patience... I went to the office yesterday evening and kind of agreed to take up the item which it's not suppose to be in my plate. Sorry folks, i could not say it in detail over here...  So, now they (sales team) requested me to work over the weekend to produce this... This is unfair to me since i was not getting any pay for doing this, moreover i was blamed that i gated the progression of the project... It's that fair? Come on i'm doing a favor. Sometime i really think that i was too good hearted and got out of controlled... *sob sob*... I think i'm so stupid to get into the job which i was so enthusiastic to get into the project without even bother on the contract signing. Now, all of this things was going on without a black and white but only the oral contract... *Sigh* The person that requested me to work weekend must be thinking that i have signed the contract... A big *Sigh* here. --- TZ, you gotta learnt this as the most valuable lesson...

Anyway, i was extremely unhappy to accommodate to work on this weekend. So no way that i will work on weekend... I don't get pay and now you wanted me to work weekend to accommodate the item which is not in my scope. BTW, I think the one thing that bother me most was I got blamed on not providing the item which i delaying the project... what is this??? I was extremely upset with this statement... okay TZ... cool down... I think it's reaching your limit. That's not only this job in this world... Need to use this weekend to sit on the fence and think what should i do next...

Raining day is approaching...

I think i need to be prepared for the raining day... why i mentioned raining day? not because of heavy rain these few days... errrrr.... As you know i started to work since end of July. So, I should be happy since there is few days to end of August... But until today I'm still have not get any confirmation to get my pay... Sigh!

Just wondered should i continue to work or just stop at this moment? If i continue to work, it's fair to me? If i stopped working, i need to get another job soon before my reserve runs out... This things has bothered me these few days... BTW, i kept getting my friends asking me when am i going to fly off to Uganda. Sigh! Now I don't know whether should i continue with the project or just request the payment for what i have done then move on with my backup plan. I could not live with no pay now... moreover I contributed my own time, my own resources (usage of handphone) for a profit organization. Is this okay???? .... I don't mind using my own time and resource to contribute to the communities and non-profit organization without getting anything back. This is a volunteer work... It's very clear. But today, I'm working for a profit organization... setting the ground work yet i don't get a confirmation of getting the pay at the end of the day... It's that fair? Should i continue?

Anyway, managed to be there to wish Benjie all the best... I have no idea what is the result... Will check out with Benjie later.

Contestant @ Final (Benjie - 2nd from the left)
Can u spot Benjie?
Cool bar setup - Blue in color is water flowing
My drink, Around the World with the nice bar setup

Anyone has idea where is this place? Hint: It's a nice bar @ Plaza Mont Kiara. The bar name is S_ _ _ _ _   T_ _

I won the Fitness Challenge last nite...

After an hour torturing with the planned exercise, the result came out that i won the Fitness Challenge. This is to my surprise that i won the challenge.... hehehe :-> I only managed to complete 2 tough exercises and gave up on some of the exercise.

Anyway, it was a good experience  to participate... my initial intention was not to win but just test out myself how far i could go... :->

Thursday nite out @ TGIF The Curve...

After a long day meeting with my team to work on the ground work for coming week meeting. Since two of my team members didn't have transport to go back to their office @ Sri Damansara, I was driving them back to their office. So I just hit the gym @ Fitness First The Curve after dropping off them.

Finished my work out at about 7pm, hit the shower and decided to take my dinner @ TGI Fridays The Curve. Moreover, Benjie my friend is working in TGIF The Curve. So able to sip some nice drinks prepared by Benjie. As usual i hit TGIF and sat @ my usual seat. Which is the center of the bar. There were two person sitting beside me...

I ordered by three course menu and asked Benjie to decide what drink that he will make me...

Boneless Wings
Succulent Crispy pieces of chicken breast in our traditional spicy Buffalo Sauce

Chicken Caesar Salad
Slices of marinated chargrilled breast of chicken heaped atop our Caesar Salad

Cookies 'N' Cream
Rich Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two decadent chocolate chip cookie squares drizzled with hot fudge and caramel sauce.

Benjie's Special

I also took couple of pictures from where i sat...

After chatting with Benjie, he will be going to participate on the bartender juggling on this coming Tuesday at one of the Japanese Bar, Sunway Pyramid. I'm still not sure which bar did he going to juggle his skill but anyway he is good! BTW, I also managed to meet a new friend whom sat beside me. He's a chief chef in Tony Roma The Curve.

Too bad my camera ran out of battery... so do you think Benjie is good in juggling? If you want to see live... dropped by TGIF The Curve... Benjie... All the best to your bartender juggling competition eh!

Olympics Closing Ceremony

Tonight will mark the end of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic. Time flies... and yet i'm still in Malaysia watching the closing ceremony... *sigh*

I'm planning to watch the closing ceremony tonight... so no nite out folks! Again, the closing ceremony is planned to start @ 8pm Beijing time (Malaysia Time) but the live telecast in our national TV will only start at 8:30pm @ RTM 2. We are going to miss 1/2hr again... the TV station did not learn their lesson on the opening ceremony... All Malaysian whom watching from the national TV has made lots of noise because of missing the 1st 1/2 hr of the events during the opening ceremony which missed out the best part of the opening ceremony... Digi... If you wanna to sponsor the event live telecast... please sponsor the full version not the 1/2 cut off in the beginning...

What do you think about this summer olympic logo?

2.55 <-- what is this?

What is 2.55 means to you? The 2.55 is the RM2.55/Litre. Our lovely Bolehland government has just adjusted the petrol price from RM2.70 to RM2.55... Is this because of the Permatang Pauh's by election or just because of the cruel oil price dropped?... Our bolehland government claimed that the petrol price dropped is not due to the by-election but why the decision is made 5 days before the by-election, why not only announce it next Wednesday... what do you think? BTW, hey if i'm not mistaken the crude oil price has increased to USD120 per barrel on Friday, so what and when will be the next announcement on Petrol price... after the Permatang Pauh by-election.... muhahaha...

Anyway, the price of the petrol has dropped to RM2.55 but how about other goods and services... will they drop the price too? I don't think so... You know what ... Malaysia inflation rate has reached 8.5% which is all time high. As for a person without salary like me ... how many more days I could survive... *Sigh* :-(

Eve....e .... Wall-e....

I went for a midnight movie @ 1-U last Saturday with Simon. We went for Wall-E. I'm not a fan of movie, so i usually will watch the movie that have been showing for weeks or months but these few months i was quite keep up to the trend. Anyway, thanks to Simon for bringing me back to the movie trend :->

In a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation, WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess. Mesmerized with trinkets of earth's history and show tunes, WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, is sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve. WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble. Consistent with her "directive" Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon. WALL-E, doesn't understand what has happened to his new friend, but true to his love, he protects her from wind, rain, and lightening, even as she is unresponsive. One day a massive ship comes to reclaim Eve, but WALL-E, out of love or loneliness hitches a ride on the outside of the ship to rescue Eve. The ship arrives back at a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all of the humans who evacuated earth 700 years earlier. The people of earth ride around this space resort on hovering chairs which give them a constant feed of TV and video chatting. They drink all of their meals through a straw out of laziness and/or bone loss, and are all so fat that they can barely move. When the auto-pilot computer, acting on hastily given instructions sent many centuries before, tries to prevent the people of earth from returning, by stealing the plant, WALL-E, Eve, the portly captain, and a band of broken robots stage a mutiny. (adapted from IMDb)

I like this movie as the script writer has used the two robots to educate how important that we need to take care of our environment. Otherwise we will have what shown in the movie. Worth to watch for its graphic, educational and touching stories... TWO Thumbs up!

Is Malaysian Lazy? How long we would have this luxury?

I was having breakfast @ McD SS15 Subang Jaya. Don't put me wrong, I did not specifically mention Subang people is lazy to clean up. So don't be angry with me.

I like to observe my surrounding environment when i was there. This few days i was in McD and obviously i had observed one common things that Malaysian do before leaving the table... *sigh* A quick question come into my mind... why can't they just throw everything into the allocated garbage bin near the entrance/exit. Not only in McD, i noticed last night when i was watching Wall-E in GSC 1-U. After the movie, almost all the patron left their behind all the rubbish even though there was a garbage bin on the way out. So what would i say????.... Disappointed!!!....

I visited most of the McD in other country. I noticed people just carried all the rubbish to the garbage bin and throw it before leaving McD. Besides, Why can't Malaysian do that? I noticed not many Malaysian doing this... why? Because off they think the people in McD workers' job to clean up... I still remembered when i came back from Canada, I thrown the rubbish into the Garbage bin @ McD after meal. Everyone stared @ me weirdly. What's wrong with the Malaysian community? Can't we be more considerate for next customers. So what do you think?

For me i always throw all the rubbish before leaving the table. This is a habit to clean up for the next customers. My principle is that we are heading to the developed country... be responsible and clean the place for the next customers. Do you do that when you are in McD, GSC and Starbucks? Let's share your experience.

Working Late... Is there a needs?

If you follow through my blog entry regarding the DUKE highway construction, you might be noticed that i kept repeating the same issue... In fact, the resident surrounding the construction site has suffered from noise and air pollution for a couple of months now. Couples of meetings and compliants has been sent via official letters on working overtime. Unfortunately, the DUKE Highway construction company don't even give a damn on resident compliant and continue working late.

Two days ago, the construction company worked late again reason being was

"We are still concreting bored pile. Pile 43m deep. Today is last day of TNB shutdown, we have to complete the pile and from tomorrow move the machine to mdm Yap area. Works delay is expected to complete by 20:00-21:00. Sorry for the inconvenience." - dated: August 13th 2008 18:30

Later,

"Last truck concrete not enough, need to top up 2 additional concrete truck due to big cavity in limestone. now waiting for last additional truck. Works further delay and expected to complete by 9:45pm. Very Sorry. " Dated: August 13th 2008 20:50

Base on the data captured... i think you can imagine how much suffering that the resident has been through with this irresponsible construction company whom just don't care about the resident and focus on their construction and timeline only...

Let's further analyze the data captured

Overtime caused:
Concrete Supply (4 / 11 times) <-- if solve this with the concrete supplier reduce at least 4 times
Big cavite limestone ( 3 / 11 times) <-- why can't the engineer projected base on the historical data???
Others: 4 /11 times <-- Is Friday Prayer justifiable to work late... sensitive but Project Director should plan and incorporate this into project plan...

Overtime by month:
June : 4 times
July : 5 times
August: 2 times (in two weeks)
--> 11 times within 3 months.

I'm disappointed with how the construction company handle this issue. I have a strong feeling that they just ignore us... and go ahead to do what they wanna to do in the construction sites, what do you think? We perceived this as an excuse to work late. Whether it's a real report out on the situation faced by the construction company, only the construction company members and God who know the truth... :-p

Taggies: Quirky Me

Should i end the tag @ 5 elements of my life?... No tagging anyone from this onwards? Errrrr... should i tag someone? Nah! just forget about it... Anyway, thanks Simple Alex for tagging me and gave me this challenge and honor to talk about some Quirky things. Dude, truly speaking I'm still not sure the exact Quirky means but I tried my best eh! :-p

Hungry? Got food?: You won't not want to come close me if I'm hungry. Feeding me is important as i will be very aggressive and moody when i'm hungry. Everyone whom work with me before knew this... So, if you are my new team members. Make sure you don't let me go hungry eh!

Heavy road user in KL: I'm a driver whom goes by rules all the time. But i broke the rules with getting speeding ticket... :-p I usually got pissed and nasty when the other road users just cut through from the side... what i will do? i will force the driver out from the way with no fear :-> Hey don't put me wrong, I'm not a road bully eh! All the driver out there... if you see me coming, please behave yourself :-p

Same Same but Different: I usually look at things from multiple points of views. Sometime lots of people just things that i'm not doing my job. That's me! But i'm trying to move myself with the flow so i would not be left out, same same with others... :-p

Hate NATO: What is NATO? NATO = No Action Talk Only... So who is NATO in Malaysia? Just observe and you will know... I'm not going to talk about in this entry. Anyway, I could be NATO if the environment force me to be one :-p How hard can it be eh!

Health Freak: Am i a health freak? Lots of my friends think that i'm a Health Freak until they could not accept. I go to gym everyday,  eating oat and fruits for breakfast, not tempted with Nasi Lemak. But one food that i could not resist the temptation. Just guess? My PT definitely know what is the food i could not resist... Isaiah, how about joining me @ ___ for dinner tomorrow?

Walking KL Map: My family and friends like to seek for help to their destination whenever they lost in KL downtown... I'm the Hertz Never Lost (GPRS). I never doubt that i'm good on direction... Since GPRS charging a good amount, I think i should also start charging, should I?

That's it folks... (followed by the Looney Tune music)... Happy reading eh!

1 down, 4 to go....

I went to Twin Tower Medical center to take my yellow fever jabs this afternoon.... Walk into the medical center ... there were only few peoples in medical center. I waited for only 15mins and got in... i told the doctor that i scare of jabs ... guess what the doctor told me... "Guarantee no pain"... tell me what jabs didn't feel pain... :-p

I felt disappointed, there wasn't any sexy nurses around... *sigh* So Simple Alex method could not work... Left Jian's method. I don't know i just don't feel like trying Jian's method. Afraid i broke the needles... hehehe :-p

Back to the jabs... since i kept chatting with the doctor... i didn't notice that the doctor has done the jabs... so really no pain. :-p I got a nice yellow book after my jabs... this is to show the immigration of Uganda when i reach there. So, no crying, no suffering, no screaming. Are you folks disappointed ah?

Now, 1 down, 4 more to go... Will have another jabs session on next Wednesday... *Sob Sob*

Amazing strong....

I got to watch this clip on U-tube... look at how strong these two guys... they had amazed me... i hope i have that strong abs like them :-p

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2008

Anyone planning to go to the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) this year? The photo above was taken by me @ the MIFC last year ... Team Italy :->

Date: 16-29th August 2008
Venue: Putrajaya
Time : 2130

Team participate
Team Malaysia - August 12th 2008
Team China - August 16th 2008
Team Canada - August 20th 2008
Team Spain - August 24th 2008
Finale - August 29th 2008 (team Australia - who the MIFC last year)

I was there last year and took quite a number of pictures with video clip too. It was an international standard competition. The fireworks accompany with the music in the background. So if you have not paid a visit... do so, i bet you will not be regret to do so....

More video (tzlife) for last year events: part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

More photo @ tz-photo

Convince to go for this year MIFC? If so do go early and get a good spot for the fireworks watching... BTW, here's some tips and expectation you will get before and after the fireworks.

Before
  • Get there early and stand @ the spot that you could see the nice view - I was there 2 hours before the show started.
  • Try to get up to the PICC open carpark area... i don't know whether this year they will allow but i was there last year. All the shots taken from the carpark... it's free of charge thot :-p
  • Don't drink too much water as you need to get out from your stand to the toilet ... your best spot will be gone!
  • Be prepared to stand there for hours just for a 1/2 hr show. Worth to stand? you decide!!!

After
  • Get stuck in the traffic jam and not able to get the bus back to the train station :-(
  • After getting your car, stuck in the jam out to LDP, Elite (connect to NKVE)...etc ---> No KL-Putrajaya Highway yet... so hopefully this year will be better :-p
By the time i reached home... it was so tired... Anyway, for me i think that it was worth to go for such a nice fireworks display. Is it worth for you to go... You decide!!!!

Knowing my limit...
